The tree shakes sporadically,
The kittens play wildly with each other,
The rabbits groom their soft, supple fur,
All this with the hens clucking happily across,
And a dog tossing his rope around, playing fetch with himself.
The farm is happy.
The wind blows strongly,
The air filling with the crackle of crops brushing against each other,
And still the tree shaken by cats.
The door to the outside opens with a loud creak,
And the smell of food wafts over to the animals' noses.
Everything is dropped-
The cats run up to the feet of whoever's carrying the scrumptious-smelling meal,
The dog barks and jumps, held back only by a chain just a little too short,
The hens peck at their coop's door,
And the rabbits wait patiently,
Until the soft rustle of grass scares them into panic and they run wild inside their cages,
The water bowls in their confinements spilling out onto the grass.
