Draziel stood back, watching the fight with an attentive eye. Seeking to evaluate Lilian's true power. He rapidly understood that she was even more powerful than he had heard. Maria could not even touch him and would probably soon be defeated... He had thought of joining the fight, but he ws not a great fighter, his intervention would be in vain. The only thing he could still do was save his own life by taking advantage of the fight to escape quietly.
He silently walked away from the two women, but after only a few metres, an ice wall appeared before him blocking his way. He turned around and barely had time to jump aside to avoid the claw of a demon.
A creature over two meters high was facing him, blocking any possibility of retreat. It was certainly a frayer, a minor offensive demon with limited intelligence. Their great physical strength makes them formidable weapons of war. This one however presented abnormal characteristics: An incomplete breastplate, blue eyes and visible flesh... This creature was not a demon from hell, it was certainly an ally of Lilian. A human parasitized by a frayer and whose mutation was still incomplete. Anyway, a frayer was not an insurmountable threat and with any luck, he would be long gone by the time Lilian had finished her own fight. One detail was however strange, the magic was not the style of the frayers, then the only explanation for this wall of ice was ... that the frayer was not alone.
He looked into the darkness of the room and soon found what he was looking for: A young woman stood behind him and judging by her appearance, she was a white she-wolf, an elementary demon equivalent to Maria's salamander. Defeating them both was almost impossible for him, once again, his only chance was to try to escape...
Maria was at the limit of her strength, Lilian was much too powerful, she felt the salamander agitating within her body, little by little, new stigmas appeared and soon they would become irreversible... Some scales began to appear on her skin, her back made her suffer, Should she resolve? Or push further in its resources at the risk of being totally devoured by the salamander?
She didn't have time enough to answer that question. A scream resonated in the underground. That was Draziel's voice. Maria immediately understood that Lilian wasn't alone.
Lilian laughed:
- It looks like you just lost your boss.
The situation was really catastrophic, without Draziel, Maria was doomed; the little hope that remained in her heart had just flown away. She fell to her knees, as if drained of her last strength.
- Would you like to work for me instead?
Maria stared Lilian incredulous, trying to understand the meaning of this bad joke but Lilian insisted:
- You have potential, it would be a shame to waste it...
Although the proposal could seem appealing, Maria declined the offer without hesitation:
- I'm not selling my soul to the devil!
- As you wish, I spare your life for this time, try to think about it, don't forget that I can save your life...
