Kane was sitting outside on the steps to his apartment when a motorcycle pulled up. "Do you need something ma'am?"

"Yeah, a kiss would be nice." She pulled her helmet off.

"Xandra, what are you doing on that? Your dad's gonna kill you!"

"He bought it for me." She hopped off of the bike and wrapped her arms around him. "Date... Now..." She smiled and hopped back on the bike.

"I'm not a back seat kinda guy."

"Then I guess your not an, I have a girlfriend kinda guy either." She smiled as he got on the back.

They rode down a dirt road toward a spot Xandra loved. She went there to cool off, to think. She went at least twice a week. She was ready to show Kane where she often ran off to at night.

She brought the bike to a stop by a clearing. She took his hand and led him to the edge of a cliff, overlooking a gorgeous lake. "Xandra, it's..."

"Beautiful..."

"I was going to say, almost as breath taking as the way the setting sun lights up your eyes..." She paused and looked up at him. "The way your smile shines in the beginning of the rising moon..." She smiled and leaned her head on his chest. "The way the evening breeze gently blows your hair from side to side..." He stares into her eyes. "It's almost as breath taking as you."

They walked inside the house, hand in hand. She was calling Kane a jerk for telling her a riddle that she couldn't get. "Dad, a group of archiologists are searching an unknown land. They find two bodies, perfectly perserved. They knew right away who they were. Who were they and how did they know?"

"Adam and Eve... No bellybuttons."

"Agh!"

"I'm the one that told him it." Chris smiled.

"Well baby girl, I better get going. School starts tomorrow, so you should be ready for it." He kissed her sweetly before waving to Chris as he left.

Xandra stayed up late doing a new video for her channel.

"Hi everybody, it's Xandra here, and today I wanted to do another PO box unboxing. Let's start with this small box." She picked up a small box about one by one feet. She opened it to reveal a MASH cast photograph signed by all of the cast members. She literally almost started to cry. "Oh my Gosh, thank you so much @$$$Genevive." It had been an hour, and she opened a box with multiple items. First she took out a box of chocolate, then a love letter. "Awe, thanks. That's so sweet." Then she found a vibrator." She threw it in the trash, along with the vibrator. "Look, whoever you are, the note was really sweet, but the rest was disgusting. Please don't send me things like that again." She moved on and ended the video. She sat up all night crying. She had only been sent something like that once and it was Til as a breakup prank.

She woke the next morning, sun shining through her window, birds chirping on her windowsill. She looked to the alarm clock sounding on her side table. Six o'clock... Damn. She pushed the silence button and slowly got out of bed.

She took a hot shower and got dressed. She started putting her makeup on when Chris knocked on the door. "Come in..." She had her eyes wide, putting on eyeliner, doing up a little cat eye.

"Why are you wearing makeup?"

"First day of school... Have to look good..."

"You don't need makeup. Xandra..."

"I'm beautiful the way I am, yeah dad, I know..."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah dad..."

"You want to be left alone don't you?"

"Yeah dad..." She applied a generous amount of rose red lipstick. He sighed and walked away. Thank God her makeup was waterproof, because all she could do right now was cry. She was convinced that the whole love note, vibrator joke was tills idea of cruelty. God she hated him.

She was wearing a red sun dress with a sparkling belt at the waist and her cowgirl boots. She curled her hair and put it in a ponytail and wore her sparkling baseball cap. She looked in her standing mirror and sighed. This would have to do. She grabbed her backpack and put her laptop in there and zipped it up. She went downstairs to find Chris in the kitchen. He had a plate of eggs and bacon in his hands.

"I'm not really that hungry dad."

He put the plate down on the table. "Xandra, talk to me..." He paused as a tear fell from her beautiful eyes. "I know about the vibrator thing... Was it Till?"

"I think so..." She sobbed. "Dad, I don't miss him, at all. I have Kane, and Kane treats me good, and I love him, only him..."

"I know..."

"Then why does this still hurt?"

"Because you loved him once. And that love will never completely die... A part of you will always want him to accept you, just because he doesn't... Xandra, forget about him."

"Okay dad." She took a few bites of eggs and bacon before running out the house. She got on her motorcycle and headed towards the school. God she didn't want to start her junior year. This was gonna be hell. She just knew it...
