I get to the school and there is a lot of teens gathered around and I sorta get a glance of what they are looking at and I get a glance at Mark and I'm assuming his dad, I start to walk the other way when I hear Mark call my name. I stop and turn around and wave while I'm fake smiling and I walk over.

“Hey Mark.’’ I said when I get close to him. “Dad this is the new kid I Was telling you about!” Mark says excitedly as if I were a real human as he introducing me to his dad, but little does he know.

“Hey Ash! You a fan of my work?” Mark's dad says smiling. I pause for a second. “Uhh.” His dad starts to talk interrupting me. “Nah I'm just messing with you anyways it's nice to meet you,” He extends his hand towards me hoping that we were on good terms “My son doesn't usually talk about kids that much that from school. Anyways my name is--” He stopped in mid-sentence because of the bell ringing. I sit down in class when I sit down I instantly become tired, i listen to the teacher's lecture about what and what not to do when you run into a strong creature, I kinda chuckle at some on accident, when people look at me I usually say I was thinking of a joke or I did something funny to my sister and I can't stop thinking about it.

When homeroom ends I go to my next class, when I open the door to my next class I see a lot of people from the CTH. My heart stops when I realize that there is a presentation for the CTH today. I look at the tables and there is tape on them with our names on them, and it was just my luck to find my name next to Marks in the middle of the front row right up close to the hunters.

I sit down and Mark comes in and looks around at the tables and he notices his name next to mine and sits down smiling I shift in my chair unable to deal with the discomfort that is just now radiating from me if they saw me they would probably think that I am a taboo calm I think as I close my eyes and focus on my breathing and then smile and turn to Mark. “Hey so you excited or what, they are really cool and they might test some things out on kids but don't worry they won't kill humans or harm them, they are human safe!”

Class starts and some speakers talk and go then Mark's dad comes up, this is when I get really nervous, I honestly don't know what to do because he is going to catch me I have a feeling, but maybe if I pull this off right I will be able to go to the bathroom before he starts using the devices, or maybe set the fire alarm off using a bit of my power, but that may be a bit risky, considering he has that magic detector. You know what, fuck it I'm going to do it.
