Three years later
After our fist meeting I could not get her out of my mind but after the first year, I started losing hope of ever seeing he again and when the second year came along, there was no hope left. But she was still hovering in my mind, I could never forget her.
My friends John and Lucas have been dragging along to a lot more party's recently, I can tell that they are trying to cheer me up in their own way, but it can get exhausting. This party in particular has a fee for getting in, you need to bring some alcohol. This morning us three went to get the beer we need, I was in the back seat staring out the window when a saw a familiar girl.
“Pull over!” I shouted at John.
“Whoa what's wrong?” Confused, John pulled over.
I jumped out of the car yelling behind me, “go on without me, I will catch up to you later!” Running toward the girl, I stopped at her feet catching my breath. “Hello, do you remember me I was talking to you outside of the bar.”
“of course I do, you are the birthday boy, how was the rest of your birthday?” the girl said with a smile. I forgot how beautiful her smile was.
“My names Adam, It was good, meeting you was the highlight of my birthday though.” feeling a little self conscious, I change the subject “so you are here for one day then disappeared for three years just to show up again, where do you go, hide in a tunnel for a couple years?'
laughing, she says “no I travel around a lot, never in the same place for long. I come back here every once in a while because this is where I used to live. Come, walk with me a little.” She holds her arm out. It took a moment for me to wrap my head around what was happening but I took her arm and we began to walk.
