She woke up the next day with the warm embrace gone. She slowly made her way out of bed and into the kitchen. She started making her normal breakfast when she noticed Jacob standing at the counter cracking eggs into a measuring cup. “Do you like scrabbled eggs?”

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE” she jumps back and grabs a knife out of the knife block pointed it at him. “Woah do you not remember what happened last night?”

Caroline thought to herself and slowly put the knife back. “Where are we going?”

“California.”

“Why!”

“Your scholarship is in California. They want you to start next semester. You have a full ride including dorms. They said that you could finish your last semester of high school there. They also said that I could too”.

Caroline looks at him little confused. She shakes her head “I don’t eat eggs. At all.”

“Well to bad you are going to eat them now even if I have to force feed you.” He smiles slyly.

He winks at her playfully and turns around and keeps making scrambled eggs.

“I told you I don’t like eggs!”

“And I told you that your going to eat them.” He said harshly.

Caroline folded her arms across her chest and walked into the living/dining room. She sat on the couch and pouted heavily “KITTEN GET YOU LITTLE BUTT IN HERE!”

Caroline doesn’t respond and just sits there. “I SAID GET YOUR ASS IN HERE!” Jacob rounds the corner in anger. “Get up”

“No”

Jacob picks her up and turns her over so her behind is in the air. “You piss me off so much!” Jacob begins to raise his hand then stops. “I’m sorry. I lost my temper I’m really sorry.” He scoops her up in his arms realizing that she was crying. “Hey don’t cry I’m sorry baby” he kisses her head. He shushes her while he pets her head softly. Caroline starts to sniffle. She tries to pull away but Jacob picks her up and carries her to the kitchen and sets her down in a chair which surprisingly had straps that Jacob used to strap her in.

“You are going to eat if you don’t eat now you won’t eat for the next 24 hours.”

“I’m not going to eat eggs!”

“Then your not going to eat at all” Jacob tries to put the eggs in her mouth. Caroline closes her mouth tight. “Fine your not eating till we get to California.”

“That’s not fair!”

“Too bad so sad. Grow up I’m tired of your insolence.”

“I-I’m sorry.”

“I’m tired of your sorries just get your ass in the car.”

Caroline nods and heads to the car after he let her out of the chair. She sits in the front seat nervously. A couple minutes later Jacob walks down to the car. After he gets in he slams the door frustrated. “What the fuck is this” shows her, her phone. On her phone was a pic of her making a kissy face with out a shirt or bra on. The picture had been sent to a guy named Carlos. Carlos had responded with:

😍😍😘 I love you babe!

That picture was sent last night. Jacob was furious so furious that he wouldn’t even talk when Caroline told him what it was and why it happened. “Your getting your ass beat when we get there, maybe sooner.” Jacob grips the steering wheel.

“Why are you so stupid!?”

“What do you mean?” Caroline’s voice was soft and whimper-like.

“You’re stupid. You have no sense of right and wrong your just idiotic!”
