“Depending on what the favor is” I said as I finally looked up to see him smiling.
“I have to give up my apartment due to financial issues. I have been battling my ex-girlfriend in custody battles for Sydney, my daughter, she is turning three next week. I was wondering if I could crash at your place till I can get back on my feet. I would ask a friend but since I have been trying to get a promotion I haven’t really made friends.” Eli said as a plea.
“Fine, I will give you my address later, if you need anything else just ask. but I have to warn you, I have one condition and with this you can even have your daughters party at my house” I said with precise expectations
“What is it?” Eli said not expecting anything too bad.
“There are going to be a set of rules, as for one you can’t enter specific rooms and you have to go shopping with me today cause I’ve got nothing for you to sleep with since the day before yesterday I was robbed, which means the majority of my personal property has been stolen and you have to help me clean because since that day I haven’t really been at my house.” I stated.
“Deal. Though I have to move my stuff out of my apartment tomorrow, so I hope we don’t have anything planned” Eli said as he was basically jumping up and down.
“Yeah that’s fine. I am having my friend Ezra over tomorrow afternoon anyway.” I say as I mark in my planner my plans for the next few days.
Eli smiles as he marches over to his desk this itself made me smile, he is a lot more caring then he lets on. It was 3 o’clock when I finished the Anderson Case and my job was to pass it on to Mrs. Sinclair when I was finished so she could analyze it and see if we can win the case. I thought a lot about Mrs. Bransfer's offer and I had finally made a decision, as I was heading to Mrs. Bransfer's office to tell her my answer. I heard a familiar voice in her office and knocked as the tall man turned around my heart started beating faster. As he turned around I sighed a breath of relief, it was just a case of mistaken identity I mean it couldn’t have been my father, he’s already disappeared from my life Mrs. Bransfer was smiling and began to speak.
“Mr. Dupree, this is Mr. Bransfer my husband. He came to visit, is there something you would like to talk about?” asked Mrs. Bransfer while she was smiling.
“Are you sure I am not interrupting something?” I had asked to make sure I was not a nuisance.
“No. Is this about my earlier offer, are you here to tell me your decision?” She asked smiling assuming she had guessed correctly.
