OK, OK, here, what I would do. I would fake sick. I have done that a couple of times before so this time wouldn't make any difference, right?
First, all I had to do was “do everything slower than usual”. Yeah, that would do.
I rested my chin on one hand and the other turned the page slowly.
Second, blink tiredly and rub your temple as if it hurts, but don't play it up too much.
Third, avoid talking. Dang the third one was pretty hard because I was a very talk active person but I would do anything to skip school.
Fourth, don't try to vomit because I don't know how to make such good fake vomit.
OK, so far so good. Then suddenly Mr. Williams asked.
'Ms. Davis, you OK? You seem paler.' Gotcha.
'No, Mr. Williams, my head hurts all over and I hear beeping in my ears. I actually feel like death.'
'Mr. Davis, take your twin to the infirmary. I don't want the others in this class to get sick. The loss to class functioning could be devastating.'
Damn, I couldn't believe that he just bought my lies. Maybe I should have moved to Hollywood and became an actress. But wait what? He said he didn't want other kids to get sick like what the butt? It wasn’t like migraine was contagious.
'Um, Mr. Williams, I think I can make it to the infirmary myself. Axel can stay.'
'No, you're too sick to do that. You will only bump your head into something then faint. Now go, I have a class to teach.'
What kind of teacher was he??
I wish that this silence would never last. All the way to the infirmary.
'I know you lied, maybe that old man believed that you're really sick. I mean, you should have seen the way you acted, you looked like someone who just found out she will die tomorrow.'
'I think I really have a migraine right now. The sound of your voice makes it worse.' I snorted.
Why was I be here with him in the first place? Oh yeah to avoid him but, here I was alone with him. Karma, right?
'Aren't you mad ?'
'Mad?' He raised one of his eyebrows and had this “Are you serious?” look. 'For what? Your stupidity? Everyone in class, including that old man knows that you were the one who threw the paper at me. You did it when we were in the middle of the class discussion, stupid.'
'I’m not stupid. You are!' I said sternly through gritted teeth.
'Yeah right, that's what a stupid person would say' He chuckled.
The nurse immediately checked on me and suggested me to just lie down because I seemed tired. As for my stupid brother, he stayed with me so he could skip Chemistry then left for lunch. Yeah, that was what your life would be like if you had a jerk as a brother.
I was lying on the bed, feigning sleep and thinking about her whereabouts. Where was she when I needed her the most. She was like a sister to me, an angelic sister. You would soon know why I said that. Very soon.
