Interlude iv; Smeared
Excerpt from the Queen's Chronicle;
"I wanted to protect her, show her that there was more to life than what he told her.
She was my dearest friend. We would send epistles to one another whenever we could while our husba— while her husband ruled the kingdom, but our connection slowly dwindled as the years went on, until that dreadful day. The day her love turned into hate. Her letters were less frequent within an instant and no matter how many times I tried to help her I was held back, forced to worry about something else. We tried to rescue her, resect her but that boy stood in her way. He held her down, he stopped her from leaving, trapped her in that hell when her heaven was so close. And then a year went by with nothing and my worries grew into paranoia. Until finally, I received a letter that almost tore the fragile fabric of our kingdoms.

By the time you read this, my life would have ended, not by the hands of another, not by the hands of my husband, not by any hands, but—"
