Nothing’s better than a walk Down the street, at night when people sleep
And dream sweet dreams.
A cool Night breeze that brushes the skin, and goosebumps rise
And hairs stand on end.
The glow of Orange lamps the only lights illuminating the path, casting shadows
And hiding dangers unseen.
Listening to Echoes of feet against flat ground, hit and hit
And gone just as soon.
The mind can Wander, ideas and thoughts free to be explored and pondered
And maybe even answered.
A happy Feeling and then a sad one, anger and confusion
And then feeling completely free.
The Moon rises higher over the clouds, and the bitter night grows older
And it gets colder.
A rare moment to Relax, after a long day of struggles
And coming out on top.
The silence is very Welcoming, and also so close to being a cage
And almost never both.
How vulnerable a darkness can render such Existence, or maybe not
And provoking such deep thought.
Traveling forward through the empty road, Solitude and harmony mingling as opposing forces
And thinking it through.
The silhouettes of the Trees span the horizon, dark and silent
And splitting the view ahead.
Hours pass by rather quickly, and looking Back at how much was traveled
And what’s left ahead.
