That night, sitting on soft white sand, and watching the slow waves,
There came a feeling, one not felt in so long.
It was but a primitive feeling,
One of pure human emotion and self thought.
A blanket of loneliness came,
And the mind was unable to comprehend it.
The sky so dark and the sand so bright,
Just confusion was felt.
It wasn’t so much so a foreign thought,
But rather misplaced with everything else.
The salt in the air brought many wonderful memories,
And hunger set after many hours.
The sun rose over the horizon,
And that soul was left dead in the waters.
