Mages are humans who have the power to elemental magic like water, earth, fire, wind, light, and shadow.  The mages territory is called Opal.  Like all other territories, they all have a significant rock/gemstone that gives them power.  For the mages, when they have an Opal they receive massive power.  Since Opals are so rare and scarce, only the most powerful and rich mages own Opals. The land of Opals has the best climate out of the existing territories, but when the weather is bad it has the worst weather in the world.  Landscape-wise,  this land has many lakes, forests, and not much flat land.  Mages are very powerful on the battlefield and relies on their magic for everything.
