The guy laughed by Kens reaction.

The guy leans a bit closer which made Ken unwillingly lean closer as well.

-...your clothing is a bit too casual, so you can kinda tell.

Ken realised that he was wearing the same clothes he had when he unpacked at home- jeans and a shirt, but now with a hoodie on top. He started to feel embarrassed by that information and to have overreacted.
