No vehicle hums came from the lot, still footsteps came up the stairs. After looking though the blinds Dawn twist the quivering lock to let her in.

"Hello Dawny," Emma said before quickly closing the door, "So what did you do today?"

"I played Operation with Archie then he decided to read his comics,"

"Let me guess, batman," Emma replied as she put away the produce.

"Siiisss,"

"The world greatest detective going is after his madman nemesis I see,"

Archie POV

Having a hard time doing so. It's a gamble here. A chance to get your ligaments, skin, face, and/or genitals be mutilated if not completely destroyed, plus possibly get gruesomely violated or killed. Welp, not really different from before, except there are more grounds for it to plausibly happen. Many of the aforementioned happened to me, making me appear as a corpse that should have been six feet under a long while ago. I'm tired, in pain, and even though I've been drugged nearly to death numerous of times, part of me wants it. Ironic since I'll just wind up trashed if not just bite the dust. Well I want to feel something else other than what I feel now besides agony, sadness, fury, dispare, insanity, hollowness. I have such desires for so long to the point it seems that I'm incapable of being happy anymore and I'm gradually forgetting what's it's like.

I almost forgotten what's it's like lay on a couch until the remainder of the group that hadn't disbanded or get killed decided to rest in the Administration Block's lounge. Being here for some reason brought when mom, dad, Emma, and I use to huddle on the couch watching comedies and action packed classics. I wonder why that popped into my head? I know I won't experienced that again. That's long gone. What's left on the couch was a worn out shell, that continues to gradually break even more.

[Spring 1994]

"Hey, get me some water," Mitch demanded, "respond goddammit."

"We're occupied," Archie said.

"So occupied that none of you can get some water." He said as he struggled to pick himself up so he could approach the kitchen, "Who the fuck do you think you all are?"

"Beings whose life shouldn't orbit around a drunk," Emma said as she wash her hands after pounding and seasoning the pork chops, "besides I can't help Right now you unless you want salmonella."

"You really needed to added your two cents into the mix too you ungrateful bitch. Often needing me to regret-"

"Here's a cup," Dawn obliged.

"I'm not finished talking,"

"Keep him out of this,"

"Don't you dare tell me what to do Terra,"

"I'm not her,"

"You are HER you loud ass ska- Hey, don't you walk away," he said while he force Emma to twist towards him and be locked in place by his grasp on her shoulders as he is persistent in his roaring.

She kicked him in the groin. Slapped the glass out of Dawn's grip to have Mitch jump back to avoid the shards before taking her little brother hand and the siblings ran out of the house.
