As everyone served themselves, Astrea and Cecilia already finished eating. They got up and left the room. Immediately inside, they began to talk about the two.
"Did you see how close she is with Cecilia?"
"Yeah, it's only her first day but how come she is already so close to her? She even told her some of her personal preferences I didn't know about!"
"Tsk! She has one more advantage than us, she is human. But so what! We are the one who loves her the most!" said the woman who talked to Cecilia first, she was also the leader of the group.
"YEAH!" cried all the women.
"This bitch is also the bastard teacher's disciple! She shouldn't be weak either. So we can rough her up a little!" yelled the leader.
"YEEEAAAH!!!"
What Cecilia didn't know was that not only does she possess the already rare Spirit eyes, she also possesses the unique Harmonious soul which makes every being feel relaxed, in peace and love the host. This was the principal reason they hired her in this school, to protect her from being eaten by the ghosts and not let a new Ghost King be born ...
The two who didn't know anything were touring the school ground. Cecilia showed everyplace she needed to know such as the administration building, the teachers' room, the gymnasium, and the sports field. Those places were enormous and walking around would take too much time.
Fortunately, there were teleporting platforms all around the school ground. Even back on Earth such technology was still not produced. They were really in advance.
They met some people from the administration when they visited the place but when Cecilia introduced her to them, they quickly changed from a smiling face to one of disgust. Even the aloof Astrea was a little hurt by the sudden change. Seeing this, Cecilia led her out and asked for forgiveness, not thinking they would show such face to her. She told her it was okay and in her mind, she made sure to step as little as possible in the building.
Visiting the school took all afternoon and the sky began darkening. The two of them returned to the dormitory. In the hallway were some women glaring at Astrea full of hostilities. She just ignored them. While eating in the dining room, Cecilia told her there would be a mandatory reunion of all the teachers tomorrow at 10:00 am. She once again warned her to be careful and stay near her and the other human teachers as they didn't have any enmities against her master.
As they finished eating, they returned to their room together. They lived next to each other so they could talk a little longer. Arriving at their destinations, they separated. Astrea took a quick shower and jumped on the big fluffy bed. She recollected everything that happened and understood why Janus had run away so quickly. He knew how much her teacher was hated and dared not to tell her, for fear she would go back. The next time she would see him, she would tell him her thoughts about this.
She fell asleep only to be awakened at 2:00 am. She felt a presence nearing from the window and decided to hide in her dressing room where there were many places to cover her presence and oversee the place. She could see a shadow appearing in front of the window. It simply touched the frames and it opened. The silhouette seemed to be of a man, around 1,80m. Under the moonlight, she could see he had long platinum white hair. His face hidden in the shadow, she saw a pair of shiny ruby eyes looking toward the bed.
He neared it and opened the cover, only to take a ball of blue fire on his face. He bent his back, covered his face, and cursed out loud. Getting out of her hideout, she ran to him threw him on the ground face to the floor. She then bound his hand behind his back with a scarf and put a hardening talisman on it. She then proceeded to interrogate him :
"Who are you and what is your goal."
"I will gladly answer you if you would let me sit." said the man. She turned him over and could finally see his face. The first thing she noticed was his unhealthy pale white skin. It looked like it didn't see the light of the day for a long while. She then looked at his blood red eyes. Seeing her looking straight into his eyes he smirked and then said in a mesmerizing voice:
"Now release me from my binding." Astrea raised her hand... and slapped him in the face. The man was shocked silly and was too stunned to move.
"You think using charms work on me. Wrong. Now, answer my questions." cooly ordered Astrea. Hearing the cold voice, the man recovered from the shock :
"Do you know who I a- AH!" she slapped a second time.
"I don't know. That is why I am asking. Don't make me repeat myself. "
"Sniff! I am Melchior Frei."
"What were you doing here?"
"I-I ..." he stuttered while blushing.
"Mmm?" Astrea patiently waited.
"I came to see you again."
Again? She didn't remember seeing him anywhere. She thought hard to remember and suddenly recognized him.
'Oh! So he was the one spying in the shadow.'
She noticed his presence when she arrived here but said nothing about is as Janus didn't say anything.
"So you were the one hiding in the shadow when I arrived yesterday... then you should have heard about my identity. Shouldn't you hate me then?" Melchior was surprised she could sense him but then hearing her reminding him of who she was, he calmed down.
"It's true I don't like your master, and I hate even more his other disciple. But that is because we have grievances between us. You did nothing wrong against me. And even though you hit me hard, I was in the wrong to have entered your room without permission. Now, we don't owe each other."
Hearing this, Astrea was really touched. He was the second person after Cecilia, not to loathe her because of her relationship with her master. But she still didn't relax.
"Well, now that you know I didn't want to hurt you, would you please release me?"
"Maybe. But did you really come here to just look at me?"
"But of course!"
"You could have waited tomorrow."
"I was impatient, I really wanted to see you!"
"Then when you opened the bed cover, why did I see two pointy row of teeth?"
"Haha.hahahah...." He had no excuse to throw at her there.
"Now tell me the truth, MIS-TER VAM-PI-RE."
"Sigh. You got me. I just wanted to drink a little of your blood."
"Have you ever heard of consent?"
"Yeees?"
"..." Only a deadpan face welcomed him.
The next day, Aodh found a certain disfigured vampire tied to the chandelier. A paper was stuck on him.
' I won't ever enter a woman room at night without her authorization '
