An individual whose parents are from two different supernatural races. Only those born, not turned, are considered under this designation.
Only Were, Fae, Wiccan, and Mages can produce a true hybrid child, as human genes in general are recessive. Only Half bloods tend to be considered Hybrids. The next generation does not always have any of the traits of one of their grandparents, though there are some cases where there are hybrids of lesser percentage of heritage occasionally. These races actually tend to have children who are a blend of genes from their parents, thus can be both sides of their ancestry.
Vampire genes, since they are possibly from mutated Were genes, do not affect their children’s genes in the same way the other races do. If the child is born with the Were mutation, they are born as full Vampires without any of the traits of the other parent’s base race, though Mage and Wiccan turned Vampires can pass on the ability to read the aura of others to vampire born children, but not the ability to do magic.Without the mutation the child takes on the powers and abilities of the base race of the other parent instead of the Vampiric traits.
Dwarfs are a recessive gene, and while children of a mixed pairing can often perform magic of their Dwarf side, they are more likely to look like and gain the skills of the other races.
Dragons who have mated with Wiccan (the only race to have mated with them in historical supernatural text) tend to have dragon offspring though the dragonborn children are often able to use all the basic elements due to their Wiccan ancestry.
