I waited for the bell to ring, staring at the clock waiting for it to hit 2:00, but unfortunately, there was still ten minutes of class left. So I started doodling in my notebook. And to my greatest luck, the teacher noticed I wasn’t listening and called “miss Rose! Would you please tell me every square root up to 1,000?.” I looked up startled by my name being called “Uh...um…” I stammered. My teacher sighed “miss Rose see me after class.” I lowered my head “yes Mr. Grey...” after that the bell rang and I cursed myself for not paying attention in class as I slowly walked up to Mr. Grey. “You wanted to see me sir?” he sat down at his desk “yes, it seems you are not doing well in school, why is that?” he asked. “W-well...you see um..” I tried to think of something quick. “I have...a hard time studying! Yeah studying!” I quickly said hoping he believed my white lie. “Alright then.” he said “I’ll get you a tutor to help you.” I stood there in shock, my last tutor had tried to kill me, but how was I supposed to tell him that! “O-okay… but I need to be home by a certain time so I don’t think it will wo-” he cut me off, “don’t worry, she can tutor you while your at lunch.” I shifted my weight nervously, “sounds good….” as I walked out of the school, I saw Alex by the front gates. “Alex!” I yelled while running up to him. “Hey, why are you so late? I was worried another demon got to you.” he said. “Sorry, Mr. Grey held me back in class…” I trailed off. “Let me guess, you were either sleeping or doodling in class.” He said with a slight smirk. “How did you know?!” I said with puffed up cheeks. “I have known you since we were little, I practically raised you. Anyway, we should start heading back home before you get in more trouble.” Alex said. “Yeah, okay.”
