Aaron woke up in his new room, though something seemed really odd, he looked around finding the small box, his back ached instantly when he tried to get up.
That’s when I discovered I couldn’t move, my body was stuck, the moment i felt it, he couldn't believe it, a crystal, cold, thick and smooth, a shard.
Why? How? When? I tried to move towards the box, the pain stopped me in the move, it was the only other thing in the room aside from me, yet I felt seen, a shadow moved, covering the opposite of the bed I was in.
-It was me!!!
No word came out of my mouth, yet it was my voice, the shadow started taking form, slowly it gained the form of a human, it took the box, in his hand and continued.
-You know, kind of odd for the most powerful object, don’t you think?
He opened the box and took out a hand clock like the old ones used in the industrial revolution.
-So, who are you?
My voice finally returned.
-So you don’t know? –He waited for a response. –Well, I AM YOU!!! –Another pause- Or better said, you are me.
I finally regained my movement and quickly stood in front of the bed.
-Times running –He showed me the clock, it was now shining. –You must hurry. –With these last words he turned to glass and began breaking, the inside shined showing a woman´s silhouette, which held the clock once the glass finally disappeared.
The only faction visible from the woman were her eyes which did not shined as the rest of her body, she turned at me and took my right hand, her touch cold and firm gaze on me.
She put the clock on my hand and closed it before shinning even brighter.
Aaron woke up in his bed hyperventilating, his hands closed with force. He stood up and looked around trying to find anything weird, yet the only thing he could find was the box still on the desk.
-Just a nightmare –He whispered to himself.
He turned to look at the clock, 7:30 still; the sunlight was barely entering as early as it could be.
Aaron woke up, went directly to take a bath and change his clothes, the morning looked bright and promising. Then an alarm started beeping from Katie’s room, followed by crashing sounds as Katie seemed to fallen into the floor.
Aaron didn’t worry and walked out to their kitchen, the system seemed odd, apparently magic was needed to action it, he touched a button and the stove turned on.
He placed water in a pot of “Nano-cooper”, an isotope more conductive than normal cooper, and looked in the fridge for some ingredients.
Aaron started to cook; pasta was on the way as he mixed flour, water and spices and poured oil to the water.
Katie came out of the dorm; she looked like she had just woken up.
-Good morning!! -She said with her sweet voice.
