(Jayden's POV)
"Get me chips!" I yelled at Aiden as I laid on the couch, pushing my foot to his chest as he ignored me and played on his phone.
"You have two legs." Is all he said as he continued ignoring me.
"They're broken."
"I highly doubt that."
"How would you know? You're on your phone."
He sighed and looked up at me before looking at my legs.
"They're fine."
I groaned and rolled over till I flopped off the couch, landing on my stomach with a grunt.
I heard Aiden snickering behind me but I ignored him and trudged to the kitchen, looking for a snack of some sort to munch on.
When I settled back down on the couch with a bag of cheeto puffs, that's when Aiden's head shot up and looked at what I was eating. I ignored his hungry stares that clearly showed he wanted the cheetos.
I snatched the remote off of the coffee table before curling up under some covers and watching TV, completely ignoring Aiden's presence.
"Hey, give me some." He whined as he tried leaning across the couch and grabbing the bag from me.
"Hell no," I said, holding the bag farther away from him. "You didn't want to get me some earlier so you don't get any at all."
He pouted before sitting back on his cushion, trying to look scary as he glared at me.
"You're mean." He whined as he crossed his arms over his chest like the manly man he was.
"Oh, don't be such a baby." I snapped, rolling my eyes at his childishness.
I heard footsteps from behind me and saw Hunter coming down looking refreshed. That was when I noticed the fat hickey on his neck, he wasn't even trying to cover it up with his tank top and black sweatpants.
"Well look who got some!" Aiden shouted suddenly, looking over the couch at Hunter who just smirked as he took deep gulps from a bottle of water.
"You already know, man."
"Oh my god, shut up Hunter!" Dylan yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
"Yes honey." He called back. "You know he loves it." He muttered right after.
"I heard that!" Dylan yelled again.
~
It was later in the day, when I woke up from my nap around 5:30 to the sound of yelling downstairs. I groaned and sat up slowly, noticing that I was the only one in the room. I put on some clothes before trudging down the stairs to the game room.
I went down into the game room where I saw everyone playing the Xbox. I snorted behind them as I watched Dylan try to shoot Hunter from atop a building but missing completely. They all turned around, having heard my small noise, before smirking and giving me weird looks.
"What?"
Sage was still here so he walked over to me and turned me around before wrapping his arm around my shoulders and whispering in my ear.
"You guys really do fuck like bunnies." My whole face turned a bright red.
The others laughed along with Sage as Aiden strolled over to me and hugged me tightly.
"You guys are so mean!" I groaned as they all erupted in more laughter.
Aiden laughed from his spot on the couch before grabbing my hand and pulling me upstairs, away from the teasing.
His head pooped up as he looked into the kitchen where his phone was ringing.
"Hello?" He asked as he went into the kitchen to make us some food. His whole body went rigid as he heard the persons voice on the other side of the line.
He peeked over at me from the kitchen before walking upstairs to our room. I was a little hurt that he felt the need to hide whatever he was about to say but I understood that when he was ready to tell me, he would.
Raised voices came from upstairs before the door swung open to reveal an angry Aiden who slammed his phone on the counter.
I gently put my hand on his shoulder, wondering if he would want to talk about it with me after all.
"Are you okay?" I asked gently. Aiden shrugged off my hand and just nodded curtly.
"I'm fine." He spat.
I flinched and took my hand off his shoulder.
"Okay, sorry." I muttered before walking upstairs as calm as I could.
I closed and locked the door behind me, sliding down the door and resting my head on my knees.
Damn... I'm so pathetic.
(Aiden's POV)
Right after I said that I immediately regretted it. I wasn't a child, I shouldn't have acted like that and I definitely didn't need to take it out on Jay. He was just trying to help me and I shut him out.
The phone call was from my father. He was asking when I was going to find a mate and how it was my responsibility to continue the bloodline now that I was old enough.
I sighed and combed my fingers through my hair, wondering how I was going to deal with my pestering parents and my mate.
~
It was a couple hours later before I decided to talk to Jayden. I wanted to give him a little time alone so we could both cool off.
I sighed and got up off the couch, walking up the stairs and knocking softly on the door.
"Jay, can I come in?"
There was silence behind the door but I knew he was in there. I could feel him.
The only answer I got was the click of the door unlocking. Considering that my queue to come in, I slowly opened the door only to have a pillow being chucked my way.
"Woah!" I said as the pillow nearly missed my head. "Jay, what the heck?" He peered from the other side of the bed as he grabbed another pillow off the bed and chucked it at me. This time, I caught it.
His ears twitched with interest as he waited for me to throw the pillow back, having already grabbed another one from the bed.
I smirked and realized what he was doing. He was trying to distract me from the phone call I got earlier while also getting his little revenge for me brushing him off earlier.
"Fine, I'll play." I said before throwing the pillow at him as he squealed and ducked. Peeking over the mattress again and throwing a pillow in my general direction. I laughed and grabbed more ammunition, waiting for him to pop back up from behind the mattress. When a minute passed by without him popping back up, I slowly crept around the mattress, pillow at the ready, to look for him.
My eyebrows furrowed as I saw his spot was empty and deserted.
"Ha, I win!" I heard from behind me before Jayden through his last pillow from behind me and jumped on my bed.
"How in the hell..." My questions trailed off as I wondered how the hell he did that.
Seeing my confusion, he smiled and pecked my cheek.
"I crawled under the bed." He said with a goofy, triumphant smile.
"I love you, assmunch." He said with a cheeky smile.
"I love you too, jackass." I said with an eye roll.
