Since I knew for myself, I was that kid that was always keeping away from everyone, nor that anyone approached me. I was the kid who would play, all alone without the friend to talk to, nor that loneliness took anything against me. I was starting to get used to it.
From my father's point of view, I was just a worthless piece of trash that feed on his money. He would call me all the names he could remember. Sometime, when he was extremely drunk, he would punch me and basically abuse me until he actually passes out from being absolutely exhausted. He would constantly blame me for my mother's death, as she was his "love of the life" but I knew that he was picking on other girls even after before I was born. I found my mom's old diaries and I couldn't help but to look at them. She wrote how he treated her. He seemed gentle back then but my mom said she saw him seeing other girls around the town.
'Am I the reason he is now this unhappy...?' I couldn't help but to ask myself that, even since I brushed with my eyes through that pages that were now rusty and old, almost tearing apart upon the touches.
The next thing I remember was that I started helping out at the neighbor's restaurant. They would pay me a small fee for doing the dishes and helping by going to the marked to fetch some fresh ingredients. Everyone knew me there, everyone would give me a bonus whenever I would buy. Did they feel pity because they knew how I lived? I couldn't help but to smile on their warm acts. I always thanked them for that. I didn't want them to pity me nor help me but every kind act was very appreciate by me.
"That's all for today, thank you. You deserve a break for your hard work." The girl said. She had a short, bob hair that was creamy, matching her chocolate brown eyes. Her feminine style was actually a bit too much. She would always come with make up, that I always disliked. I never wore any, but if I did, she would do it and actually force me to put it.
"Thank you, Tia. I appreciate your hard work once again." I said with a smile plastered across my face. She was the only friend I could count on. She was there for me when I was in need for that hold by the mother I've never meet. She was like a mother to me, more like older sister. Though she was older than me 10 years.
"Want to hang out at the bar today? I heard there are some super hotties out there~" She said while she had that mischievous smirk. I knew what was that signaling so I shook my head in denial.
"Come on, Hana! If you don't find love now, when you are going to do it?! You're already 20 and real beauty on top of that!" She exclaimed while she pulled her hand toward the door.
"Come on come on!! Please~!" She said with that cute face of hers. She looked like a puppy now so she couldn't ignore that look from her side and finally, she gave in.
"Fine! Just don't make that face anymore!!" I said with a slight blush before she hugged me tightly and pulled me away toward cars of hers before we both entered inside it.
I would pull the revisor of the car and checked my pinkish hair. I would fix my bangs by putting a pin there. Since Tia was all about appearance, she told me to comb my hair, which I did annoyingly so she would be satisfied. She luckily didn't make me wear the make up. My green eyes pierce through hers as she stared toward me while the car stood just in front of the red light.
"You know how much I hate when you don't do anything with your face... You don't even do your nails nor makeup... I don't get how you can live like that..." She said before she started the vehicle once again and after short drive with awkward silence between us, we arrived at the bar. She told me to out everything unnecessary in back seat. So I did what she told me before she dragged me inside.
It was around 12am when we entered the bar. There were already bunch of people so we had a hard time passing them, since no one was willing to move so we could actually reach the counter with variety if drinks. For first time, Tia didn't do anything that special with her self. Neither she dressed up luxuriously nor that she did something special with her face.
"I am surprised. Just lipstick and foundation. That's new..." As I said, I felt the pair of eyes gazing toward my friend who ordered for both of us a glass of wine for each one. We drank and she paid. Somehow, she seemed different.
'What's happening...' I couldn't help but wonder and ask myself what was happening.
Couple of male started approaching us before they would circle around us. Like per usual, they were drawer to Tia who was staring to be all flirty with them but one particular male stared toward me. It was not that perverted look but more like, he want to talk to me. I could hear a chuckle escaping his mouth before he backed away and walked away.
'What just happen... Was it someone I know?' I question myself while I saw that he disappeared. I assumed it was just him getting lost in bunch of people who were dancing. It was like sea of people there. Tia decided to follow the boys toward the dance floor where they were starting to glue their body to her.
'How can she do that...' I sighed while looking toward her before I'd order another glass of wine but this time I had a company. That guy from earlier came back. I've guessed he was waiting for my friend to go away so he would approach me. He sat on exact same chair my friend was sitting at.
"Oh, did I actually got you on a first sight~?" A ravenous haired male asked me while I shook head and snickered at his comment.
'Who he think he is actually?!' I'd question myself while I would stare toward his figure which made me a bit confused, how someone as handsome as he is, is actually talking to someone who is pretty simply looking like me.
"If I was an easy target, I would be in your hands already. Even though you look attractive, I am not interested in one night stands." I said with pure confidence in my voice only to get a chuckle in return. His blue eyes dazed through my whole body, he was scanning it. I got back to drinking before I noticed how his hair had white ends. That I didn't notice earlier.
'Was it my imagination or his hair changed for a minute...?' I couldn't help but wonder what the hell was going on. I found that boy really odd, was he even a boy? He looked around the same age as I am. I was not sure nor was really that curious. I didn't like him at all.
