When you’re lonely you forget all the standards you set before.
Whereas last week you wanted someone that complimented your lipstick or noticed your snazzy lock screen now you just want someone who will buy you chicken nuggets at McDonald’s or, at the very least, call you every once in a while.
Last week you may have wanted the perfect person to hold your hand and cuddle while watching a film you know they hate but they stick it out because they want to spend time with you.
Now you’d be happy with someone that kisses you in public even if you hate it or texts at the worst time and doesn’t give up until you respond.
You may settle just to have someone to be with you but in reality, you may think any guy or girl may fix you and fill that gap of loneliness that you feel each night.
You’re wrong of course because that just makes it worse.
You spend time sat with someone who you don’t have feelings for and instead of getting a companion, friend and lover you’re getting more and more empty and alone.
Trying to fix things quickly just makes them worse.
