Everyday Ave has been doing her scans with the recordings of the signal we have and each time she tells me some parts of my brain lights up into the sound. Now she wasn’t sure if it was mating or something else. This was all new to us and it was only happening to me. no one else seems to be affected by this so I was the only one she can do anything to. I was her base and I will also be setting the tends every time the signal would come on. I told her how I ran away from it the last time and she started mumbling on how that was possible and started going over the scans. I lost her completely to her work and left her alone. I wonder why I was the only one having this aver effect to the sound coming from the signal. I mean at first everyone heard it and had the same reaction but the second time I felt something different compared to the first.

I could wrap my mind around it, I mean I can but then it would seem too real to deal with. Maybe this was some alien thing that I won’t fully understand but it’s something that I can control. Hopefully.

As I was walking to the bridge Matthew came running to me and started talking too fast to understand. “its fix” was all I got from him and I understood that he meant the ship being at 100% functional and we can move at a faster speed. He ran off before I can stay anything, and I just laugh at him. I went to the med bay to check on Miles to see if anything change with his condition. I grab his check and look it over. One of Ave doctors came towards me asking if I need anything. I told her no and that I was just seeing how Miles was doing today. He still hasn’t woken up yet but the bleeding in his brain stops but there was still swallowing. Ave team believes he will wake up, but he won’t be the same as before. He will be different, and his motor skills will be greatly affected by this head injury. That would mean I would be the Captain permanently. Clint was as of now gone.

With this new information in mind, I had to tell the crew what was going on with Clint. He will no longer be the captain. He will no longer be of use to this mission, damn it. this was the guy who was supposed to wake up after this and get back to work and I can go back into being second in command. This can't be happening, but it is.

I went back to my room and my private comms went off. I went to the desk and answer it seeing that it was Maxwell. “Hey there captain I just find out about Clint and I am sorry about him but look my number one hand pick is in charge and I just wanted to tell you some stuff about this mission,” he said. I give him a questioning look. Wasn’t this mission suppose to be going to mars? What is this man talking about?

“The real mission is to land on Mars and find out if you and only you, June, are human. I know you won’t believe me but it’s in your DNA June that’s why you were pick for this mission” He told me.

I look at him and broke out laughing. I laugh so hard I started to tear up. “Ha very funny Maxwell well if anything I did need a laugh for the shitty luck we’ve been having well thanks for this call,” I said and hung up on him.

This guy I swear he was something else. Saying that I was human was crazy then the signal started to play over the speaker and I dropped to my knees feeling so much warmth that my body started to react differently. My body was relaxed and tense at the same time. My breathing became erratic my heart beats quicken. I feel my pulse thought out my body gather at my core and works its way down. I bite my lip to prevent a moan from escaping.

As soon as it started it ended. Once the signal stops my body stop its reaction. I got up and ran to the med bay to speak to Ave about what just happened to me. this isn’t real. Before I went into her office I remember the only time I ever felt like that and it was with her for our very first time. This can’t be happening. “Ave I need to talk to you right now,” I say busting into her office.
