The One-Legged Donkey That Kicks Field Goals

When I was young my Dad told me a story. This is the story (I think, it was a while ago so I might've gotten some details wrong):
My dad is a teacher. One time he and a few other teachers at his school took their kids on a field trip to a county fair. One teacher convinced a student of his that he had trained a one-legged donkey to kick field goals and it was at the fair. The student spent a long time trying to find this donkey. The donkey did not exist.
