She eventually stopped at a patch of bushes, but saw nobody. Nothing was there except some bushes and a weird puddle of black goop. Wait a minute. A puddle of black goop?
Now any normal child at her age knew well enough to run and tell a teacher, parent, or guardian. But Elanor wasn't a normal child.
She slowly walked towards the black puddle, making sure the snow didn't crunch as loudly. "She came to play, she came to play!" The voice exclaimed, seeming more childlike than before.
And then the strangest thing happened. The puddle looked like it was..bubbling. "I'm so happy you came to play Elanor." The voice said again, the puddle bubbling more and more.
Elanor didn't dare answer the strange voice, so she did something even dumber. She looked inside the puddle. She began to yawn, rubbing her eyes. Then she saw it. Or rather, him.
The man looked to be in his thirties, with his already graying black hair slicked back. He was wearing a suit, a black one. To mach his hair, I suppose. But there was something odd about this man. Maybe it was the way his strange colored eyes glared at her, or the fact that he was so very...tall.
