Sara noticed and took the shot from me. She grabbed the arm that I had gotten scratched by and quickly injected the needle into me. I could feel my hands go steady and I took a deep breath. “Thank you.” I muttered and took the shot back from her and placed it back in the bag. I then fixed the bag’s back again. I grabbed my backpack and walked up to some of the crates and loaded it back up with ammo clips and grabbed our two pistols again. I walked back over to Sara and Alex who were stretching.

Alex yawned, “These people were too easy to read.”

Sara took one of the pistols I was holding out for them, “Don’t get to hipped. We aren’t out of the hot water yet.” Alex shrugged and grabbed the other pistol then.

I sighed, “They took my pistol…”

“Just use another Scout.” Sara pointed at another pistol that was laying on the crates.

“But that’s not mine. Do you know how long it took me to…”

“Guy’s lets go. Scout, go grab gun. We will get yours back soon.” Alex interrupted.

‘Fine!” I moaned and picked up another pistol. We all three hopped out and noticed the others were still dealing with the spike strip.

I saw a glare come from the window of the house to our right and Sarah smiled, “On three we run to the house over there. Don’t stop running.”

“Three.” Alex quickly said, and we took off out of the truck to one of the side houses.

“Hey! Guys, they are running!” A gun shot went off and I stopped for a moment. Alex and Sara both ran against the building. I looked down to see blood starting to soak into my shirt and my knees grew weak.

I watched as Sara and Alex looked at me for a moment but then vanished out of my sight, “Guys…” I sputtered as some blood filled my mouth, “Don’t leave me.” I slowly tried to crawl to the house as fast as I could but heard footsteps running towards me. I glanced up in the window to see no one was there anymore, “They left me…” I mumbled.

“Damn it! Looks like the other two got away.” I felt a boot kick me over to my back. I began to choke on some of the blood in my mouth, “You bitches thought you could pull one over on our group? We aren’t stupid.” I noticed it was Clown standing over me. I could hear him cock back his weapon. He pressed the trigger and a gunshot echoed in my ear as I noticed he had scratched only my ear with the bullet.

“Don’t go wasting your bullets now.” I heard Jane call to him, “Let’s move out.” The clown laughed and began to walk back to the trucks. I turned to my side and coughed a little more blood up. I noticed it was starting to turn black. I then could hear more of those things drawing near. They were coming from behind the house. The gun shots had drawn them towards us. I heard the trucks start up again behind me. I then heard footsteps walking back towards me.

“You’re coming with us. That shot won’t kill you. What’s killing you right now is that scratch. Wolf! Hurry up. I can see those things getting closer to us.” Jane cried. I felt as my body was picked up and carried back to the truck. I was placed in the back again and Jane was already ripping a bigger whole in my shirt to get to the gun wound.

“What is the purpose of even cleaning that up? Isn’t she dying already?” Wolf complained.

“We are still human. You shot at her, didn’t you? You could have killed her and same could have Clown. Neither of ya did though, did you?”

“Well, she is still a kid.” Wolf sighed.

I let out a cry as she dug her fingers inside me and pulled out the bullet, “If I had better supplies, that could have gone less painful. I do apologies.” She turned me to my side and I coughed up more blood. I felt her hand touch my forehead, “She’s starting to heat up.”

I heard a gun cock then, “Jane, she won’t back it back to camp. We need to start to chain her up before she turns.”

“I know! Give me a moment.” She got up and began to walk to the front of the truck. I could hear her pick up some cuffs and walk back over. She glanced down at my chest and I could feel her fingers roll over my skin, “The gun shots gone!”

“What do you mean it’s gone?”

“She has already healed from it, it looks like.” Jane said in disbelief.

I coughed up a little bit more blood and finally felt as my body suddenly went into a violent spasm. I felt my body forced to the ground and felt hand cuffs wrap around my wrists, “Hold her down.”

“What do you think I’m doing right now?” Wolf demanded.

The spasm stopped, and I felt my eyes finally roll into the back of my head and passed out.

Zombies. I can't say that I started this whole outbreak, but I may kinda of been one of the very first to be infected. Luckily, I don't go around eating people or have to worry about rotten flesh. Sure, I may have turned my whole family. Sure, I may have got a few of my friends at school infected. Sure, I may be lying to myself about doing all this. Hey! It's tough sometimes to be a kid with a deadly secret. Wait, what if I am not alone?
If you enjoy this, please comment and I will continue on with the adventure!
