“Everybody ready!?” A loud voice echoes out across the city.

A small flying disk flies in between the buildings as a young woman on top of it holds a microphone and addresses the crowd. The crowd watches on outside of the area as loud rumblings echoes across the city.

“Alright everyone, we’ve had some great battles today, but we’re closing up today’s battles with the final match.” She says excitedly. “On the red team, we have Bearklosus!”

A large bear taller than several buildings stomps around on its hind legs roars out loudly as it comes into view. Next, to it, a flying disk with a large man on it lands on top of a tower as a shorter man walks up to his side.

“It looks like the Brawler and the Minder are ready, let’s see how our unexpected additions of the blue team are doing.”

Repigigas stomps ahead roaring loudly as it arrives with Kenji, wearing a jumpsuit, standing on a flying disk as he lands it on a tower.

“Wow, the kick on this thing is impressive,” Kenji says.

Dian walks up in a similar jumpsuit and stares at him. “Come on, Kenji get serious or else we’re going to lose this right off the bat.”

“Right!” Kenji yells out. “I’m taking this a hundred percent seriously. Right Repi?”

Repigigas lets out a loud roar as it stares down the giant bear. Its spines raise up and electricity races across its body.

“It’s time to battle!” Kenji yells out.

The announcer flies across staring down at Kenji and the others as she flies over to the center of the field. A large barrier raises up and closes in around the Kaiju as the crowd cheers excitedly with the battlers tensing up.

“Alright, everyone. We’re ready to begin the final match, so let’s give it a count!” She yells out.

The crowd cheers and a screen in the center of the field turns on.

“Five!” The announcer yells out.

The bear gets into position bearing its claws out at Repi.

“Four!”

Repi steps forward with its tail opening up into three points as electricity races across its body.

“Three!”

Kenji and his opponent’s disk fly up as they glare at each other flying into the air.

“Two!”

Dian removes her bracelet and closes her eyes sensing the link between Kenji and Repi. She reaches out and grabs the link strengthening it as an odd tingling sensation echoes through Repi and Kenji’s minds.

Everyone stares at one another waiting for the right moment and trying to guess their opponents moves.

“Kaiju Brawl Begin!”

The bear rushes ahead bearing its claws at Repi as it shoots out a blast of lighting out at the beast. The electricity hits knocking it back somewhat only for it to step forward and continue its charge.

“Its body is thick. We need to do something to get through its body.” Kenji says looking down at the creature. “For now, Repi, you keep away from it and come up with another plan.”

Repi barks and leaps up climbing onto the side of a building as the bear charges towards it. The bear chases after it with Repi letting up its spikes spooking off the bear as it avoids the spikes.

“Such a quick reaction, these newcomers actually have some form of skill.” The announcer yells out.

Repi climbs the building reaching the roof as the bear stares up at it. It scans the rooftops and leaps from one building to another clawing into the sides of the buildings as the bear continues staring.

“Now Bearklosus, Rolling Attack!”

The bear leaps into the air and curls in on itself turning into a ball. The bear ball rolls up a building into the air and leaps from rooftops as it moves towards Repigigas. As Repigigas leaps to another building, the bear smacks into it knocking it back towards the ground as it uncurls.

“Now rip into it!”

They crash into the ground the bear lands on top of Repi and opens up its claws ready to strike.

“Now Repi, full force!” Kenji yells out.

Repi’s body sparks with electricity and it opens its mouth unleashing a massive burst of power. The blast hits Bearklosus and knocks it up into the air as Repi moves swinging its tails as electricity dances across them.

“Prod Strike!” Kenji yells out.

As the bear stands Repi’s tail strikes it hitting it with the force of electricity sending it directly into the bear’s body. The bear flies backward and falls to the ground as Repi stands over it looking down on its foe.

“Oh, is this it? Is this the blow that’ll end the match?”

“Bearklosus, Berserk Mode!”

“Berserk Mode?” Kenji asks.

The bear forces itself up and stands with its head lowered. Repi stares at it as suddenly the bear roars its voice echoing out throughout the city. As it raises its head its fur turns red and its claws become sharper.

“Oh, dear what is this? It seems that Bearklosus has gone completely berserk. I wonder if Repigigas can overcome this new challenge.”

Repi stands and has electricity cover its entire body with both Kaiju glaring at one another.

“Hey what are you two planning?” Dian’s voice echoes through Kenji’s head.

“Well you can read my mind right now, you tell me what we’re thinking,” Kenji says excitedly.

“What!? No way, there’s no way you can do that. If you do that, then you’ll exhaust Repi and we’ll have no choice but to give up.” Dian says seriously.

“But we have no other choice. Its skin is too thick for Repi’s spines or a regular electric blast, we have no choice but to use our full strength!” Kenji yells out.

Kenji floats down towards Repigigas. “Now Repi, Thunder Burst!”

Repigigas gathers more electricity into itself concentrating into its mouth. A large ball of electricity forms as Bearklosus yells out and rushes ahead. As it approaches Repi unleashes its blast shooting out the massive burst and sending a wave of power through the area shaking everything around them and kicking up a cloud of dust.

“What is this folks? Who is the winner, Bearklosus or Repigigas?” The announcer asks as she travels around the area trying to see through the thick cloud of dust.

Through the cloud, a figure raises, Repigigas standing high over Bearklosus as it lets out a loud triumphant roar. The crowd cheers excitedly as a loud sound blares out across everything with the image of Repigigas appearing on the large monitors.

“We did it,” Dian says as the surrounding sphere dissolves. “We did it.”

Dian falls over with Oriana appearing to grab her. “Hey, are you okay?”

“Fine, a Minder’s task is mentally exhausting, and that reaches into physical exhaustion,” Dian says.

“Okay, but what about Kenji?”

“Well, he’s….”

Dian points out towards the distance as Repigigas falls over with Kenji falling from the sky saved by a barrier around his disk. “He’s unconscious.”

“What?”

“Kenji and Repi have a different type of bond than regular Brawlers and Kaiju. So, when he uses too much power then the two of them will both fall unconscious.” Dian says seriously.

“Well everyone, we’ve reached the end of this battle and the end of today’s matches. We’ll continue tomorrow with the next set of matches tomorrow and I hope all of you will join us then. Until next time.” The announcer says as her disk flies off.

Diana and Oriana watch as Oriana pulls out her phone. “This is Agent Sumre, asking for a stretcher we have an injured Brawler in need of medical attention and a Kaiju in need of an examination.”

“That’s good,” Dian says.

“Are you sure you don’t need an examination?” She asks concerned.

“No, but I could use some juice.”

Dian smiles. “We won, In the end, we won.”

“Yeah,” Oriana says happily. “Keep it up and I’m sure you’ll be able to become an official battler by the end of all of this.”

Dian smiles. “Alright, let’s do it. Although I hope that this feeling becomes less exhausting overtime.”

“Well, from what I hear it’ll get better, but it’ll still suck,” Oriana says looking around. “But anyway, where is your father?”

“Dad’s still busy.”

“What? He missed your very first battle what kind of business could he be dealing with to make him miss this moment?”

“Having a meeting with Mom.”

Elsewhere inside of the Administration Building Toshiro walks around with a grin on his face as he walks into a room. Inside an image of Repigigas standing proudly over Bearklosus shows up on the screens.

“You must be happy, your team won.” A woman says from behind him. “I should’ve expected that from you Toshi.”

Toshiro grins. “Well what can I say, I have an eye for talent. But can you tell me, how do you feel about it?”

“I feel your still kind of an asshole Toshi, but maybe that’s what I like about you in the end, anyway.” She says as he turns around. “But it’s also something that infuriates me so much.”
