The boy kept on running. Crying and sobbing his heart out. All he can hear is her sister's cry for help. He tried to move but all he did is stand there frozen.
And now, his sister is gone.
His parents didn't blamed him. He's just a child but he blames himself. He's the older brother and he should have protected her.
He ran through the forest. Shouting for his lost sister. Dressed in a black attire and muddy shoes. The sky seemed to notice his sadness as the rain started pouring. Voices called for him to come back but he didn't stop for anything. His sister's voice is the only one that can stop him now but she's gone.
After realizing that he will never hear her laughter anymore, his feet ran faster until he stumble upon something. His knees hurt from the fall and his clothes and face muddy but he couldn't care less.
"Are you ok?" Small hands touched his back and he heard a gentle voice. He slowly peeked at the owner of the hands and saw a little boy about his age. He was also dressed like him but a complete opposite from his muddy self. He shook his head and sniffed.
"Here." The boy offered his hand and he carefully reached out. "I'm Charlie. What about you?"
"Amielle." He whispered. Instead of saying his first name he said Amielle because he can still here her cries of his name.
'Adrien! Please!'
"What are you running from?" The boy asked. He didn't speak. His throat is sore from all his shouting and sobbing.
"It's alright." After saying this the boy suddenly hugged him. Because of that, he felt his tears coming back. He hugged the boy back because he didn't felt small and helpless in the boy's arms.
"Charlie?" The boy just hummed while rubbing Adrien's back. "Are you here because you also lost someone?"
The boy suddenly stilled which made him pull away. For the first time, he saw the most beautiful color that he ever seen. Emerald green eyes stared at him with a look that he can't decipher but pain.
"Yes. But I'm glad that he's gone." The green eyed boy muttered. He was taken aback and gasped.
"Why?!"
"He hurt me." The boy whispered. "I hate him"
"Well, I love my sister." Adrien whispered a few moments later before frowning. He didn't understand why the boy came here to grieve for someone that he hates but he didn't further asked. "I wish that she didn't left me."
"Right!" The boy suddenly exclaimed. "I was here to make a wish."
"A wish?" He exitedly nodded and pointed to his back. He turned and saw a pond.
"The people here told me that there was a wishing pond here that grants all wishes. I was about to make a wish when you bumped into me." Charlie explained.
"Can I... make a wish... too?" Adrien whispered.
"Of course!" The green eyed boy pulled him towards the pond. At that moment he strangely felt comfort with the boy's smile which made him felt lighter. Then, after making a wish, the two little boys tossed their coins in the pond at the same time.

"Do you still remember what you wished back then?" I asked. We are now sitting beside each other in front of Allison's grave.
I still can't believe how we met again. I can still remember that as soon as we tossed our coins, my parents arrived and took the two of us back at the building. They were so worried for him. I can't help but chuckle at that.
"What are you chuckling about?" Kane suddenly asked. I pursed my lips when I realized that I comfortably laughed in his presence again. He just learned that he was the boy that he met years back. Right now, I don't even know how to act in front of him.
"Nothing." I muttered. I looked at him and immediately turned away as soon as our eyes met. The atmosphere suddenly felt awkward.
"I-" Kane cleared his throat. "I don't remember."
"What?" I asked, confused by his statement.
"My wish." He said with a brief glance at me before turning away. I sighed. Why can't we suddenly look each other in the eye when moments earlier, we were laughing with each other?
"Oh..." I stupidly replied. Ugh! I hate myself. "uhm.. I remember mine..." I'll probably regret saying this but...
"Really?" He suddenly perked up making his eyes gleam under the sun. I gulped when our eyes met.
Ugh! When did I stop being the cold one and started blushing? And in front of him too!
"I wished that I can meet the boy again and hoped that when that time comes he's not hurting anymore." I said while looking in his eyes. I'm probably bright red right now based on the heat creeping up my cheeks but I tried to ignore it as I try to read his eyes. But then before I see it, he quickly looked away and suddenly stood up before clearing his throat.
" Uh.." He stuttered and looked down at me. I nervously bit my lip as I saw him from this angle. The sun is right behind him making a beautiful sillhouette on his face. I can see his long lashes and most of all how his eyes' color seem to glow.
"Yes?" I uttered, clenching my jaw.
Adrien, focus.
"I have to go, someone is calling me." He showed me his phone. I only nodded at him before he said goodbye. I waved back at him while watching his back. I slumped on the grass as I watched him turn in a corner and disappearing from my sight.
"What a day." I sighed as I placed my head on my knees still staring at the corner.

Back at my apartment, a fuming March slammed the door in my face. As soon as she saw that I came back, she glared at me before telling me to fuck off and slamming the door.
I sighed. "March, please let me in."
"You have the nerve to ignore me all day and making me worry." She huffed. I can almost see her frowning.
"Please, I'm tired."
"Where did you come from?" She angrily asked. I gulped.
"The cemetery." I decided to tell her the truth. Lying won't help the both of us right now. I'm tired and she's angry. Besides somehow I don't feel like lying anymore.
"Come in." The door slowly opened showing an upset March. I bit my lip before coming in. I passed her and sat at the couch.
"I was visiting my sister's grave." I whispered. I heard her gasp before I felt her hug me.
"I-"
"Stop. You don't have to say anything." I whispered. Pulling away from her, I saw that she's looking at me. And I hate what I saw. I hate seeing pity, especially if it's directed at me. Pity is the last thing that I want to deal with.
"I'm sleeping." I stated.
"Aren't you going to eat?" She asked. Worry evident in her voice. I shrugged my shoulders and closed the door to my dark room.
In the end, this is where I belong. Surrounded by darkness.
