I was willing to tolerate her presence, at first. If I ignored her name, I can still act normally. Until Charlie decided to ask me why I seem to flinch most of the time. I don't know if he can still remember what I kept on shouting when we first met, but if he did he should've figured it out already. I tried my best to act like I don't care while avoiding Charlie's suspicions but alas, I was annoyed with the girl for a reason.
The first time was when she saw Charlie and I in our usual spot in the library. We were trying to come up with the questions that we'll ask for the interview for the article when she suddenly showed up.
"Hey, Kane!" She suddenly appeared between the two of us before pecking Charlie's cheeks. He immediately pulled away before glancing at me. I arched my eyebrow.
"Hey, Allison." I pushed the flinch down before he can see it. I can't have him pointing it out.
"Excuse me, I'm not trying to be rude but we're currently doing something so we'd appreciate it if you quietly leave." I cleared my throat while I look at the notes in front of me. I heard her scoff but I still pretended to ignore her.
"How about a no?" She tried to get my attention but I just kept on writing. The moment that she touched my shoulders, I was done.
"I'll see you later, Kane. I forgot that I had to be somewhere." I gathered all my things and left the two of them.
"Hey! Adrien, wait!" I heard him call me but I just walked straight ahead.
"Kane, dear, I want to tell-"
There was also a time when we're peacefully having a break at the firld when she suddenly popped out of nowhere. I quickly scooted away from Charlie because I'm sure that she'll want to be close at him.
"You're kidding!" I laughed at his disgusted face.
"No, I'm not you should've seen his face." The both of us looked at Tristan and simultaneously laughed. I can't still remove the face that I imagined that day. And she ruined it.
"Hey, guys!"
"Hi, Allison!" March greeted her with a smile. I finally learned to not flinch when I hear her name but my mind is still not used to it.
"Kane!" She sat in my former place beside Charlie and subtly pushed me. I immediately grabbed my bag.
"I have to go."
"Wait for me, Adrien!" March said as she tried to catch up to me. Charlie's voice was drowned out by her whining.
For the next five days, she kept on appearing out of nowhere. I was the one who always avoided her first. I'm not one to pretend to like someone when I don't. I'm pretty sure that I made it clear that I don't like her but she can't seem to take a hint.
Until the day came when I finally snapped. I was relaxing at my usual spot under the tree when she approached me. I'm still angry just by thinking about it.
"Hey, Adrien, can I have a minute?" She said with her usual smile. But she can't fool me with it's fakeness. I wore that exact smile for a year.
"Sure." I didn't know what she was up to.
"Can we talk somewhere private?"
"Here is fine." I muttered, still not lifting my head from the book on my lap.
"Won't you look at me?" I didn't reply. At that moment, I can hear her mask cracking without even looking.
"If you stopped pretending, maybe I will." I finally said.
"You don't know what you're talking about." Finally! I slowly looked up at her face when I heard irritation in her voice.
"How may I help you?" I ignored her question. She literally snapped.
"Yeah! You can start by staying away from my friends!" She shrieked. I almost smirked with amusement but I maintained a calm face just to further annoy her.
"Why?"
"You don't belong with us! I tried to be nice to you but you always ignored me. You don't have the right to do that! Who do you think you are?" Wow, how did Tristan and Charlie even befriended her? She's the real deal. Real insane.
"I don't know what you're talking about?" I smiled at her. I can almost see smoke coming out of her ears.
"You- you! You're a nobody! You're always monopolizing Kane's time and you're all they're talking about. I was supposed to be their friend not you. I bet that you're just using them!" My amusement slowly disappeared the more I hear her talk.
"I'm sorry, if you felt that way but I wasn't trying to replace you." I softly said. I felt that her problem don't jist lie with what she just said but it runs deeper. I noticed something familiar in her tone that I have been hearing in my head for a long time. Fustration.
I stand up in front of her and look at her eyes. "Don't worry, I won't be bothering you.
Although, I don't remember a time where I bothered her. I just said what she wanted to hear so she'll leave me alone. It looks like I'm not the only one with a problem. I patted her back when I passed her before leaving her alone.
I just hope that she'll finally leave me alone.

Thinking back to my afternoon, I suddenly felt like a fool. Because of my past, I decided to be a jerk to everyone. When I think back to Al- her outburst earlier, I realized that maybe I've been dumping my personal problems just because they had the same name.
Well, it's partly her fault for being annoying. Charlie seem to be not that close to her and she always follow him everywhere. It doesn't help that Tristan and Charlie didn't said anything about her. Just that she's a former schoolmate.
However, that's not what really bothers me. For the first time, I had the chance to look in her eyes. I've encountered a lot of people that you can easily see if they're just trying to get a reaction out of you by making you angry or they truly believe what they're saying by the look in their eyes. And although she seemed intent to make me angry, there's also something that was lurking behind her eyes, and I've got a bad feeling about it.
Maybe, she-
"Adrien, hurry up! We're already late!" March shouted as she knock on my door. I frowned before climbing out of my bed.
"What do you mean?"
"Wha- Don't tell me you forgot that we're spending the night upstairs." She scoffed.
"What?!" I opened the door and saw her annoyed face.
"You're not even ready!" She gasp when she saw my outfit.
"I don't remember even agreeing with that. And why upstairs?"
"Come on, Tristan invited us to a movie night since it's a Friday." She excitedly said. I properly looked at her and saw that she's wearing a blue dress that matches her baby blue eyes. I narrowed my eyes at my friend.
"First," I hold up a finger. "When did that happen? Second, Are you looking to impress someone?"
"No! I just..." She squirmed under my eyes as she patted her dress. "Is it that obvious?"
"Yes." She blushed. I nodded. March is not usually a dress type of girl. She always loves her pants and T-shirts so I'm surprised that she's wearing one. It looks like my friend has a crush.
"For Tristan?"
"Oh, come on! Adrien. I'll tell you later just get dressed because we're really late." She huffed as she glares at me. I just leaned at the doorframe and stared at her, unfazed with her glare.
"Alright, alright!" She finally gave up after a few minutes making me smirk at her. I'm just actually waiting for her to admit it. But, even though I'm not completely against her intentions, I don't think that the guy will be an easy one to get. He seems like a fickle guy and my friend is not the type to be just a mere choice among all others. I'd seriously hurt Tristan if he ever hurt March. I'd have to watch put for that later.
"I actually agreed for the both of us." I just shrugged. She groaned after seeing my arched brow.
"Yes, it's for him." She quietly said in a small voice. I reached for her head before patting her hair.
"That was all I was waiting to hear."
"Wait! So you're coming?!" Elation can be heard in her voice and judging by the thumps on the floor, she's jumping and giggling.
"What do you think?" I asked her as I grabbed my jacket on the chair.
"Wait. You're not going to change?"
"Why should I? It's not like I'm going to impress someone, right?" I thought that she became silent because she's blushing but when I turned to look at her, she was trying to look at anything but me.
"March. Is there something that you forgot to mention?" I slowly said as I walked towards her.
"Well... Clare and Allison might be there too..." My jaw dropped as soon as I heard those words.
"So... I thought it'll be fun, so I agreed on your behalf!"
No shit, Sherlock.
