I smirked at Charlie before looking at everyone's shocked faces.
"So you really know him?" Tristan asked his friend. Charlie just nodded.
"You're adopted?" Clare asked but I just smiled at her. I shrugged.
"No. You're lying. You're not adopted."
"I agree with March." Clare said.
"I agree with the girls."
"I believe Charlie." Tristan said. It was girls between boys but unfortunately, it's our win.
"Charlie is right!" I exclaimed. Our eyes met and in that moment, something changed in me. I don't know what but, there's something different in his eyes as I look at him. Maybe because of his words earlier. No one ever told me something like that. Even Clare didn't know me at that level.

"We better go back to our room now." I announced as I lift a sleeping Clare. She wrapped her arms around my neck as her head lulled on the crook of my neck.
"I'll show you out." Charlie said but as he was about to stand the girl pulled him. I narrowed my eyes as her.
"No, I'll do it." She smiled at Charlie as he nodded. I don't really know how he can't see this girl's fakeness. I turned around as I felt a pang in my chest as I see the two of them.
"March!" I shouted at the same time we heard a thump in one of the rooms. It was clear that my purpose of coming here is wasted as March stumbled out from Tristan's room with a daze look. I don't even want to know what they did judging by her disheveled clothes. A grinning Tristan soon followed behind her and placed her hands on her waist.
I glared at the two as Tristan leaned down and pressed his lips on hers. I quickly looked away before heading for the door. A lot of things happened on this night that I just want to collapse on my bed. March and I have a lot to talk about this morning. I didn't know that the girl moves fast.
"Adrien, what about Clare?" March asked as she joined me. I raised an eyebrow at her which caused her to blush.
"She'll be sleeping in my room." She gaped at me. I glanced at a chuckling Tristan behind her.
"What?" I asked him.
"Nothing."
"Good night, March." He softly smiled at my friend before kissing her again. "Should I come with you downstairs?"
"No! It's only downstairs!" She giggled as she smacked his chest. I averted my eyes as they smiled at each other. However, I almost wished that I didn't as I met eyes with a frowning girl beside Charlie.
"Come on, March. Remove yourself from your boyfriend before I decided to do it for you." I smirked at a blushing March as she pulled away and kissed Tristan's cheek before whisphering a good night. She quickly ran outside as she blushed.
"You better not hurt my friend." I glared at Tristan as soon as March closed the door. His grin slowly dropped as he turned at me.
"I won't do that to her." He stated. I just stared at him for a minute before turning around.
As I stepped outside, the girl closed the door behind her.
"It's ok. I can walk myself out." I said. She continued frowning at me.
"What do you want?"
"I made it clear earlier that I don't want you near Kane." I groaned.
"Why are you so against me being his friend?" Maybe, if I was still the version of me this afternoon I would have snapped but now, I can vaguely understand where she's coming from.
"You don't know Kane and you'll never know. So you should leave him before you get hurt." She hissed. I frowned at her words. What does she mean by that?
"If I didn't made it clear enough for you, I'll say it now. He. Is. Mine." I gawked at her words. She finally looked satisfied at my shocked reaction. In an instant, she entered the room and slammed the door on my surprised face.
"Did she really said what I just think she said?"

I groaned as I woke up on the couch with an aching neck. Ugh! I'll never sleep here again even if someone is on my bed. I immediately heard the noise the annoying sound that wake me up.
The telephone.
I sluggishly dragged myself to the telephone. Without looking, I picked it up before answering.
"Adrien?" My sleepiness was completely gone as the phone dropped from my trembling hand. My heart suddenly started beating fast I slowly picked the phone from the ground.
"Mom?" I uttered for the first time in one year.
"Oh, Adrien! I missed you! Why did you stopped contacting us for a year?! Your Dad and I were really worried! I even had ask this number from your friend!" She kept on scolding and complaining about ignoring them for a whole year but I can't hear any of it. There is a loud buzzing in my ear and I felt like air is quickly leaving my lungs.
My knees dropped on the floor as I placed my head on my hands. I'm not ready for this. I can't hear them right now. I already saw them reject me once. What would happen if they said it to me directly?
"I don't want to break." I mutter to myself as the first signs of tears appear at the corner of my eyes before a suppressed son escape from my throat.
I will break.
