She grins when she holds invisible hands
And marches towards impossible lands
She’s singing a song that nobody knows
And watering a garden that never grows
She’s tearing down walls built sturdy and tall
And flying where one would normally fall
She’s having nightmares but sees them as dreams
And pulling at the perfectly sewn seams
She’s lifting burdens that no one else could
And caring for others that no one else would
She’s getting aces where most would fail
And living life like a fairy tale
She’s making progress on tasks thought too hard
And leading the way, a strong vanguard
She’s fighting monsters where people would perish
And slowly the change into what she can cherish
Her Strength Knows No Bounds
She Fights Upon Barren Battlegrounds
She’s gazing at the wrong reflection
And living a life of ruined perfection
She’s trying her best but falling apart
And slowly destroying her far too big heart
She’s living a lie for the sake of her peers
And hiding what she thinks are dismissive fears
She’s told she’s what everyone else should be
And closing a blind eye to what no one can see
She’s told she’s first place though she never crossed the line
And when people ask she says that she’s fine
She’s poisoned by words spoken with kindness
And scared of the sins she’ll never confess
She’s tired and lonely surrounded by those that she cares for
And longing for touch behind a locked door
She’s the one people said would lend you a hand
And she’s giving aid, ignoring things she had planned
Her Strength Knows No Bounds
The Demons She Astounds
She’s calling out for relief from her fears
But all she says fall upon deaf ears
She’s craving for someone to pull her from Hell
To save her from her homemade cell
“Save me!” She begs to those that she’s aided
They all roll their eyes, as if they’re frustrated
“It’s your turn,” She’ll cry
“No it’s not,” They deny,
Then turn to the others, as if they’ll have a different reply
They’ll nod, all in turn, then turn her way,
“Save yourself,” They say
“It’s better that way,”
“And hurry up, we don’t have all day”
She’ll sit there in silence, thinking things through,
“Alright,” She says, then bids them adieu
Turning her back, she opens a new door
One that she hadn’t noticed before
“Come back,” They all cry
“Without you we’ll die!”
She turns her head and gives them one last smile
“Save yourself,” She says, “I’ll be gone for a while.”
Amid all the crocodile tears she’ll run
Towards a new world full of sun
Their advice, whether they meant it or not,
Was all that she needed, least she begin to rot
Her Strength Knew No Bounds
As She Headed For New Grounds
I tell you this story, and know that it’s true
No one is perfect, that’s a fact, through and through
Many deny their part in this story
Too busy, you'll find, reaching for glory
Save yourself, a motto, good and bad
Help others, one that’s happy and sad
Do both, I will tell you, do both, I will warn
Lest you regret you ever were born
I’ll tell you why, and finish this tale
That girl, she’s okay, she did prevail
And so will you, take comfort in these propounds
For your strength, too, shall know no bounds
