“I think therefore I am”

A simple well-known phrase

But is it true? That I am? All because I think?

What kind of thoughts must one think, before they truly are?

Are babies there, although you’ll find, they cannot think complexly?

Or what of fish, who think one thought, to keep themselves from drowning?

Do people who are brain dead, really count as people?

They cannot think, their mind is gone,

So why do we keep hoping?

Is someone more here than others, if they think more thoughts than most?

If they think less, do they really exist? Or are they a faded being?

And as we grow, and think more thoughts, do we grow into existence?

“I think therefore I am”

A complex, strange new phrase

But think again, am I more, because I thought up this?
