Home Visit 1-1
~~~
It isn’t much, my home. It’s a small place on the 5th floor of a shady apartment complex. The windows are barred to keep people from jumping. There is a small balcony, enough for two people to stand. It overlooks the city, enough to see a good portion of the skyline. It’s a beautiful sight, just that it gets ruined by the decayed state of the buildings. This place is old, sad, depressing, but home. They arrived a little later into the evening. Seeing them at the door filled me with this strange sense of happiness, or pride? It felt nice, whatever it was. They made themselves at home quite quickly. We sat and talked for a while, at least me and Jenny did. The man remained quiet for a long time. He seemed quite content though, with how things were in the moment. My mother taught me to never deny someone of food. I splurged on them. I knew they weren’t going to finish it all by themselves. It would last me and my mother for quite some time.
