Those were Screams, but certainly not human.
Darkness was on its way over the shabby and dusty village. The parents were quick to usher their children inside away from the darkness while the men sat out trying to make sure their families were safe before drifting off inside as well to hide away. Bars came down over all the cracked windows and every lock and barricade was put over the doors to keep everyone and everything out. Families huddled together like wild animals hiding from a storm; shivering in the lowest part of their houses, curled around a single candle to block out darkness spreading over them. Waiting for the Darkness to come for them.
“Don’t make a sound…”
First was silence, like the village was dead or abandoned, like even the ghost were scared to move. But it wasn't long before even the light of the moon seemed to disappear leaving the darkest of black seemed to settle like a blanket over the place. Soon a loud eerie sound began to screech through the silence of the village. Those were Screams, but certainly not human, at least not anymore. Loud thrilled screams seemed to fill the silent village. Figures rushed up and down the empty dirt seeming to be cloaked in shadows and fear, loud screams ripping through the air sending a wave of death with the voices, Small words seemed to weeze out of them as well, Like cried of pain and suffering.
“Don’t Breathe Too loudly or they will hear you..”
The creatures mouths stayed in a constant open state like they were forever screaming in pain; long bodies misshapen and curved forcing them onto all fours like dogs but shaped like humans that were twisted and misshapen, but their fingers where long and dug into the ground with an animal like ferocity. Old Blood seemed to burn the air as their deep breath weezed out taking in the smells around them. Sniffing out the fear that seemed to fill the houses slowly approaching each one and crying loudly from outside, Begging to come in.
“Don’t listen to them…”
The cries grew louder and Louder with each second, More words spilling from their deformed mouths. ‘Let me in Love...’ ‘Don’t you miss us’ ‘This is your fault!’ black gooey tears rolling down their hollow eyes as they clawed and banged against the blocked doors and windows, hitting so hard the sounds of their own bones cracking seemed to be louder then their cries and pleases.
“The hunt begins’”
