*~*~*
A certain girl was on her ride to a certain town. She was riding her own pony, Blanc, down the path that seemed very familiar to her. Her lips curved up to a smile as she quicken the pace of her pony's steps. She enjoyed the wind around her face as she ride down the mountain to the town she grew up in. Upon arriving at the gate of the town, she saw a familiar figure standing there to greet her, she thought. Once she got closer to the person, she slowed her pony down to a stop. She climbed down her pony before she gave the person standing in front of her a bright, happy smile. In front of her stood one person who had a black hair that was covered in what seemed like a red veil, matching with her long and red traditional clothes of the town. "Welcome back, Cera." She greeted the younger woman in front of her with a warm smile of her own that she rarely shown to just anyone.
The younger woman who had a slightly messy, light brown hair that reaches slightly below her shoulder, called Cera smiled back to her as she answered with a "I'm back, Ina. How are you and everyone doing?" She asked as she walked to her, pulling Blanc slowly behind her. Ina was the mayor of the town she grew up in. The Eastern-styled town called Konohana, where the atmosphere was very calming and just seemed quiet. She had lived in Konohana from when she was a child so she was already acustomised to the town, despite her being a half western person herself. She just had to leave the town for a couple of years to attend to her father's illness until now she had returned to take on her passed father's farm in his stead.
"We are all doing fine. Pretty good actually. Just be sure to meet everyone. I'm sure they all have missed you so much." The mayor, Ina, replied as she started walking down the path toward her farm. "Just like I have too." She added in a low voice before she asked her, "How about you, though? Are you doing fine?" She turned slightly looking at the girl who was walking behind her.
Cera smiled at her as she heard her saying she missed her as well. "I miss everyone too. And yes, I'm doing fine myself. I'm sorry to have you worry." She said as her smile turned into a sad one, yet only for a brief moment. She saw Ina shook her head before answering her, "It is not only me, I guess everyone must be worried about you, so just be sure to talk to everyone once you've settled in." She said as they reached their farm. "Well then, I'd take my leave first for now. I have some works to attend to. I've left a clothes for you inside. You can just take your time to readjust in your house though, no need to hurry." And with that, Ina left her in her farm, in front of her old house. She waved to her until she saw Ina was gone from her sight before she turned to look at her old house. A small smile was on her face as she sighed, mumbling "Welcome home, Cera." to herself.
It did not take long for Cera to set her stuffs in her old house, though. Since she barely brought anything from her trip back, she just had to put her pony on the barn, cleaned some stuffs up in her house along with her farm, before she took a warm shower and changed her clothes to the one Ina had prepared for her. The clothes was so Konohana. It consisted of a white t-shirt with blue short cardigan which had Konohana's signature patterns around the long sleeves and all. On the bottom, she was wearing a 3/4 matching pants with an orange sarong which also had the same pattern printed on around it. To complete it all up, she had worn a red bandana on her messy hair and a pair of brown shoes.
She looked up on her reflection on the mirror. Once she found it was perfect, she smiled at herself encouragingly before she decided to go outside to meet her fellow town's residents. She sure had missed all of them as well. It had been a couple of years after all. So, she wasted no time and visited one of her closest friends, whose house was just right beside her farm. She looked around the pasture which was filled with horses beside a small shop. She found no one was there, so she decided to get inside the shop. "Hello." She greeted as she opened the door and her face brightened as she saw the person she was looking for.
Behind the counter, a tanned, tall, and masculine man with a brown long hair which was tied into a ponytail looked up to her as he heard the door opened and a voice. He was about to greet back before he saw who was standing in front of him. She could see how his face also brighten at the sight of her. "Cera! You are back!" He immediately jumped up from his counter to walk, in a quite fast pace, to her.
Cera giggled as she closed the door behind her and walked to him as well. "Good to see you are as energetic as always, Kana." She replied as she saw him inspecting her from top to bottom, back to top again, like trying to make sure whether she was real or not. "You don't have to look at me like that. I'm really back." She said giggling softly again.
"Wow... You're back." The tanned man called Kana repeated softly giving her a warm smile before he hugged her gently. "Can't believe you're back already. I've really missed you." He honestly told her.
Cera smiled softly as she returned his embrace. "I've missed you too." She replied softly. She really had missed him since they had been very close since they were children, being neighbour and all, despite Kana being three years older than her. "I hope you're doing fine, and how is Hayate?" She asked as he pulled back slowly, but was still holding her.
"Oh we are both doing fine. I should be the one asking you though. Are you alright? You know... After your father..." He did not finish his sentence as he looked at her sympathetically. But he was quite surprised, yet also happy at the same time as he saw her smile. "I'm perfectly fine. You don't have to worry about me." She replied giving him a smile as a reassurance.
The two talked for some times. They were talking about Cera's trip to the city, to how had Kana been living, even until his favourite topic of horse. Seeing the time, Cera bid his farewell for the day as she told him that she had to visit the other townsfolks. "Alright. See you soon then Cera. I'm happy that you've returned." Kana said as he waved to her when she waved back to him before moving on to the town to meet the others. She next went to meet her other best friends, this time was the girls, Nori, the one who had a long and beautiful, silky hair, with a red headband around her head matching with her beautiful red kimono; and Reina, who also had a black hair, thought not as long as Nori, and was tied up into a bun with a pair of small braids left behind. She also wore a headband which was a tosca one also matching with his tosca attire. The talk went pretty much the same when she was talking with Kana, minus the horse talk, and much more of girl's talk, besides Reina did not talk much, just like how she was.
After bidding goodbye to the girls, Cera continued to greet the other townsfolk, Gombe, Nori's grandfather who owned the shop that was partially the heart of Konohana as he sold the seeds needed to be planted. She even had bought some of Spring Crops seeds from him before she then headed to the small hut where Raul, one of the triplet lived and sold random stuffs every single day. Continuing to Yun's tea house where she met the owner, Yun, and her granddaughter, Ying, who was playing with Ina's son, Rahi. On her way to the one and only clinic in the two towns, he met Reina's uncle, Mako, who grew tree and other plants. After he talked for some minutes with Mako, bidding farewell as he had to attend to his plants as usual, she headed to the clinic where she met Ayame, the doctor in charge along with Hiro, the doctor's apprentice, who was also one of her best friends. Mostly their talk was not much different from the others', as they talked about their lives in the past couple years, their work, and somewhere along that.
Time sure flew by fast enough as she had finished greeting the townsfolk, it was already past sunset out there. So she had to bid her farewell for now to the two doctors, well one was a doctor apprentice but she sure thought that he was a pretty decent doctor already, or so she thought from how she saw him now, comparing to how Hiro was before she left the town. He was only a year younger than her, but still he looked pretty cute as he was so childish before, but now he had grown up to be more mature, she thought. She was smiling as she made her way back to her farm. She was glad that everyone was doing alright and she was even more glad that nobody brought up the topic of the reason she had that trip to the city, about her passed father. It was not like she did not want to talk about it. After all, everyone in Konohana also found her father a dear friend to all of them as well, and he was the one who helped this town a lot.
She sighed once she arrived at her farm. She had decided that she would sow the seeds tomorrow as it was already late for today. So she headed inside her house after checking her pony. She took her time of taking a warm bath as she spaced out thinking about one thing she had always been thinking about. "I wonder how is everyone doing...?" She pondered in her head, but then quickly brushed it off her mind as she got out of her bath. After wearing her nightgown, she headed straight to her bed and quickly drifted off to a dreamless sleep.
