*~*~*
A chirp and the cuckoo sounds woke our certain blight brown haired girl from her slumber. She groaned slightly as she was not really a morning person. She opened her eyes slightly to see that it was bright outside her window as the sun began raising. She looked at the clock on her bedside table that showed 6 o'clock in the morning. She sighed before she stretched and finally got up from her bed. It was the day where she supposed to start working in her farm.
Before she began, though, she had bushed her teeth, taken a shower, changed her clothes and then had a breakfast. Then she took her old tools for farming out to the farm. She started clearing some wild weeds left from yesterday on her farm before she tiled the ground with her old hoe and then sow the seeds she had bought yesterday from Gombe. She took some water with her watering can and watered the seeds. After that, she put all her tools inside before she headed out to her almost empty barn, lest her pony was not there. She pet Blanc and brushed him while she gave a small talk with him. Seeing he was pretty happy with her she gave him a smile. She then looked around to see that she would need some animals too besides crops. She sighed as she reminded herself to buy some animals after she buy some fertilisers for her crops.
After she took Blanc outside the barn, she headed off to greet, and if possible talk with the townsfolk again today. She made sure she stopped by Kana first like usual on her way to the town. She did not take very long there, though, as she would be pretty busy today. So, after some small talk, she moved on to the town where she met Ina who told her about the request board. She made sure that she would check it later after finishing with her greetings to the others, and so she moved on pretty quickly to greet almost everyone, besides Reina who she thought must had left for the mountain since she liked inspecting the plants there. She lastly visited Raul's shop to buy some fertilisers. She headed to the request board afterward as she had promised Ina and had found two requests there. She took the papers before she headed home to fertilise her crops.
She wasted no time as she immediately climbed on Blanc as soon as she had finished fertilising her crops. She was on her way to the mountain before she remembered she had yet to meet one of Konohana's villager, Sheng. So she had made a quick stop at his house which was located just right around the corner from the opposite side from the path down to the mountain. Sheng was the Konohana's proud blacksmith who really loved panda, that he would even wear a panda costume. Well, she did not really mind it about him, though, since everyone had their own love, fetish, or whatever they called it. She stayed for more likely a half an hour at Sheng's house before she headed off to the mountain. She would occasionally stopped around the mountain to pick some stuffs like wildflowers, bamboo, mint, blueberry, and all other stuffs that she thought might be useful, not only to gain some money, but also for gifts, and for requests. After all, she had learnt all those things from when she was a child, while helping her father with the farm, and all.
On her way to the neighbouring town, on the mountain, as she had guessed, she met Reina who was inspecting the plants there. After all, Reina was pretty obsessed with plants, much like her uncle, Mako. She spent some times talking with her before she continued her way to the neighbouring town. Though, even though she was in a hurry, she slowed her pace down as she had reached the middle mountain of the neighbouring town area. She was looking around as she checked for anyone to be around. She was doing the same thing as she reached the low mountain area, until she reached the gate to the Western-styled town, Bluebell. She stopped Blanc as she looked at the gate. She sighed inwardly before she hopped off Blanc, and began walking down the town in her normal pace. She once again looked around her surrounding. Down the path from the mountain, she knew what would lay behind the path leading straight ahead. She stared ahead for quite some moments before she decided to just turn right to the town.
Once arriving at the town, she looked around once again, a small smile plastered on her face. The town was unlike Konohana. It was peaceful and all, but it had its own atmosphere which seemed to scream out Western just from the look of it. The houses was built in different way than the ones in Konohana too, not too mention, that there was no houses which had any crops around, instead, some had pastures around to take care of the animals, which were the proud of Bluebell's farmers. She took a slow stroll around the town as she saw some people were talking to each others, while some, she had guessed was taking care of their works. She had decided that she would first take a visit of what seemed like an animal shop on the left side of the town.
"Excuse me." She slowly greeted as she opened the door to the shop. As she opened it wider to let herself inside, she saw a woman with a pretty chubby posture behind the counter with a small girl beside her. She smiled as she closed the door behind her. "Welcome to Jessica's Livestock!" She could hear the fat woman with short blonde hair covered by her fabric headband greeted her. Once she walked closer to the counter, the fat woman, who she thought was the owner spoke some more. "Oh, I've never see you before, young lass. Are you the new farmer in the neighbouring town?" She asked with a smile on her face.
Cera smiled back at her as she answered, "Yes, my name is Serafina. But sometimes goes by Cera for short. Pleased to meet you, Ma'am." She formally introduce herself and earned a soft laugh for the older woman in front of her. "Oh, please, no need to be so formal. Ma'am is for my mother. Please just call me Jessica. I own this shop where we sell livestocks and also their foods. It is very nice to meet you, Serafina." She shook her hand which was offered to her. "And this is my daughter, Cheryl, she helped around my shop." She added as she turned to look at her daughter who was beside her.
Cera turned to look at the little girl who had a long blonde hair that was tied into twintails. She bent down slightly to her height as she gave her a smile and offered her hand to the little girl. "Nice to meet you, Cheryl." She saw the little girl was inspecting her for a while before she took her hand and returned her smile. "Nice to meet you too, Serafina. Would you like to play with me?" She asked giving her a bright, cheerful, and hopeful smile. Cera could not help but giggled softly at the little girl. "Sure, I'd love to anytime. But, sadly I will be busy today, so can we hold it until I come visit again?" She asked as she patted Cheryl's head gently. The little girl looked disappointed for a while but then nodded her head understanding. "Promise ok?" She asked reaching out her pinky to Cera, who immediately took it in her own pinky replying, "Promise."
Cheryl then returned to behind the counter where she helped her mother with her shop as Jessica spoke again. "I also have a son named Ash. He's probably working at the barn now taking care of the livestocks. I'm sure he'll be happy to meet you." She said smiling to Cera again. "I'll be sure to check on him after I buy my own livestocks then." She said returning the smile. "Oh, you're planning to raise some animals?" Jessica asked, sounded surprised yet delighted at the same time. Cera nodded her head as the answer. Then the older woman spoke again. "Splendid! Then, you may take one of the cow and one hen. I'll give them to you for free!" She exclaimed happily to the young lass.
Cera could only blinked after she heard that. "For free? Are you sure? I mean... I could pay for them..." She asked unsure. "Nonsense!" She heard the older woman replied. "Just think of them as gifts from me, as a fellow farmer. Even though, you lived in Konohana." She added the last part in a low mumble, but Cera still could quite catch that. "Well, isn't that the more reason that I should've paid...?" She asked even more, confused. "No, no. It is the more reason to give them to you for free, dear. Not many people in Konohana would think of raising livestocks. You might be the only one. That is why I've decided to give them to you as gifts. You can repay me by taking care of them, will you, dear?" She asked her back with her warm smile which made Cera could not help but smile back. "Alright then. Thank you very much, Jessica. I'd definitely take care of them very well." She finally gave up and accepted the cow and the chicken.
"Great! I'll ask my son to deliver them to your barn then." Jessica said happily. Cera nodded. "I thank you once again and I sure need to thank your son as well for delivering it to such far away farm." She said chuckling softly. "Well, I'll take my leave now then. I still have to meet the other people in Bluebell, including your son." She giggled softly which earned a soft smile from Jessica. "Yes. Take care, dear, and be sure to come again soon." She said as Cera waved to her before leaving her shop and made her way to the pasture beside the shop where there stood many livestocks like cows, sheeps, and chickens. She hopped over the fence and proceed to the barn where Jessica's son was in, according to what Jessica said.
Arriving at the barn, she slowly walked inside and looked around. Instead of finding one person, though, she found two boys chatting to each other. She watched them from the door and her eyes widen slightly before she got back her composure and clearing her throat, she greeted. "Good afternoon." Earning the two boys's attentions right to her. She gave them a small smile as she saw them turned their heads to her. "Oh, good afternoon." One of the boy who wore a red checkered hat on top of his blonde hair greeted back returning her smile. "Good afternoon." The other boy who had a orange-ish red hair greeted back as well. "And who might you be?" She heard the first boy asked, still with a smile on his face.
Cera walked towards them and reached her hand out as she introduced herself. "My name is Serafina. But mostly just called Cera for short. I'm the new farmer from Konohana. It is nice to meet you two." The two boys exchanged looks for a while before the second boy took her hand in his and introduced himself back. "The name is Philip and I take care of the Bluebell's farm. It is nice to meet you too, Cera." He said smiling to Cera, who returned his smile which he thought was quite sad for a while, but he brushed it off as she now seemed pretty happy? Or so he thought. "And I am Ash, I take care of the livestocks here, and my ma owned the shop which sell the livestocks. Nice to meet you, Serafina." He too shook her hand after Philip let go of her hand. "Ah, so you're Ash. Yes, I've met your mother and your little sister. They are so friendly, just like you two." Cera said smiling to them both, seeming happy.
"Well, people in this town are mostly friendly, so it is not much from us." Ash replied sheepishly as he saw her smile. "Well, but your mother was too kind. She gave me a cow and a chicken as gifts." She let out a soft chuckle as she told Jessica's son about what his mother just did. "I guess that is just like how ma is." He chuckled as well joining in with her. "So, have you met everyone in the town?" He asked her curiously. Cera just shook her head as her response. "Then, do you want me and Philip to give you a tour around the town?" He offered pointing to himself and Philip as he asked.
"That might be great. But, aren't you busy currently?" Cera asked tilting her head slightly to the side. Somehow, that earned her flushed cheeks from both of the boys, mostly from Ash. "It is alright. I'll be done in a moment, if you don't mind waiting." Ash answered almost instantly. Cera looked at him for a while thinking about it before she smiled, nodding her head. "Alright then. I can just wait outside the pasture." She said to him. "Cool. I'll be there in a minute." Ash replied back. "Well, then I'll also wait with her outside." Philip said giving a smile to Cera as he patted Ash's shoulder before then leaving the barn with Cera.
While waiting for Ash, the two had some awkward silent moment for them for a while before Philip broke it. "So, what brought you to Bluebell?" He asked as he faced Cera curiously. "Hmm?" Cera turned to look at him, slightly surprised he even began a conversation. "Well, I just feel the need to raise some livestocks, and I heard that Bluebell is the right place to buy some as here is where people focus on livestocks. Or am I wrong?" She asked back to him earning a shook of his head. "No, you came to the right place." He answered with a smile. "Though, I thought Konohana's folks focused more on crops?" He asked once again. "Why would you raise livestocks?" He added another question. "Well, it is true that they are more focused on crops. But, I love animals, so, I don't see any reason not to raise livestocks." She simply answered him, smiling back to him.
Their conversation went on for quite long as they waited for Ash, and they found out that they were much alike in some parts. Well, at least Philip found that out. They both love animals, but also loved planting crops and flowers. They both also thought that the freud between the two towns were childish sometimes. They just shared some things in common and that made them got closer to each other pretty fast and easily. Their conversation soon ended as Ash came to the two, though. She was then brought along by the two boys on the tour around the Bluebell town.
