I woke up to the sound of people talking. I stirred and got up from my bed, making sure to not wake up Wilson. I walked into the hallway and I went to use the restroom. As I went in and shut the door, I noticed something in the bathtub. I walked up and pulled the curtains back. When I saw what was in there, I jumped back and I covered my mouth, staring at it in horror. There was a dead man in my bathtub. I ran out of the bathroom, running into someone else. I tried to shove myself away and I was going to scream, but they covered my mouth, forcing me to look up at them.
"Shut up! For god's sake, Mason, shut up!" Hawke was holding my face up. I froze and stopped resisting. I lightly pushed myself away from him.
"What...why the hell is there a dead man in my tub, Hawke?!" I whisper-yelled, still staring up at him. Hawke sighed his gun in his left hand.
"I killed that man, Mason." Hawke seemed relieved that he had taken a life, and I asked him why still whispering. "He was trying to get into your bedroom window. You forgot to close it. I took him away and shot him, brought him back here. I explained to the neighbors and they're gonna help bury the body-"
"Bury the body?!" My eyes were widened in shock. "Hawke, you just killed a man! You could go to jail!"
"It was the same guy who was in Wilson's house earlier." Hawke stared down at me, his grey eyes now stormy. "The police will thank me. Now, will you stop worrying your head off about something that you weren't even awake for and go back to sleep, for Christ's sake?!"
Hawke realized that he had raised his voice, and sighed, leaning against the wall, his head looking straight up at the ceiling. "I'll take care of it. Go to sleep."
I went back to my room and crawled into bed. Wilson opened his eyes and stared at me.
"Mason?" He stared at me as my eyes were wide open. "Mason, what's wrong?"
"It was..." I thought not to tell Wilson about the man in my bathtub and the gun in Hawke's hand. It would open some old wounds. "It was nothing. Go back to sleep now."
Wilson turned over on his side and fell asleep. Watching the ceiling, I fell asleep to.

Later Wilson and I woke up at the time we were supposed to. I asked Hawke about the body and Hawke had explained how he and two neighbors took the body to the beach and buried it in the sand that rested in the water. Said the sharks would take him now, and they would be hungry.
Hawke had made us breakfast while Wilson and I got ready. Wilson had somehow been convenient enough to bring a pack of clothes that were in a baggie. A neighbor came by and brought it to him. We came into the living room and Hawke told us we couldn't eat until our hair was combed. I groaned in response and went back to brush the mess of hair on my head, as well as Wilson, who simply combed through his hair with his fingers.
Hawke made us some eggs and toast, with bacon and pancakes. For him, it was toast, eggs and a cup of coffee. He liked his coffee black, but would occasionally drink it with a small amount of sugar if he pleased. Hawke ushered us to brush our teeth and to be ready in two minutes. We grabbed our things and hurried over to Hawke, who was waiting outside. When we got into the morning light, I got a good look at Hawke's face. He looked really tired, and his eyes showed it. I guess Wilson had noticed too.
"Are you ok, Hawke?" Wilson had displayed concern for his friend. "You look tired."
Hawke looked down at Wilson for a bit. But then he smiled at him, somehow, someway. "Now don't you worry about me, you hear?" Hawke lightly brushed his fingers through Wilson's hair. "You worry about your grades and your health."
Hawke could make a good partner. Now if only the girls who came up to Hawke weren't...jerks.
