Yin leaned against the wall. The rain drenched her otherwise pristine and well kept armor the white cloth was tainted a dark gray and the metal plating seemed to shine. Her hair drooped over her shoulders. Yin frowned at this, she despised being in the rain.
“Tell me again Lord Cao, why am I not allowed to go inside again?” Yin asked, attempting to sound as nice as possible.
Yin looked over to the young Cao Pi. His dark hair folded over his right eye while the rest of his wet hair carefully fell just past his collar.
“Listen, I also have to stay out here, it’s ruining my day as well, but I’m not complaining.” Cao Pi responded.
Yin looked back onto the damp and muddy battlefield. They had only recently conquered the land. A mass of dead bodies were laid throughout the battleground. Nobody had bothered to bury them.
“You didn’t answer my question, why am I not allowed inside?” Yin said, sounding more authoritative.
“Tch, you’re never satisfied, are you?” Cao Pi said.
“Bì zuǐ…” Yin mumbled under her breath.
Cao Pi and Yin stood in silence for a moment. Yin could still feel the tension from before still lingering over the two.
Breaking the silence, Cao Pi sighed, “Lord Cao told me not to tell you this, but I don’t feel right having you now know,” Cao Pi finally said, “He plans on sending you to Shu Han as a spy. He wants you to pretend to defect… That’s what my antagonizing of you was for.”
“He wants me to be a spy, huh? What exactly would be the point of that?” Yin responded.
“He said something about an up and coming Officer that seems to be on par with some of our strongest officers, including you. He wants you to find out who this is and defeat her.” Cao Pi said.
“Well, do you have a description of her? I could do it if I had a description.” Yin said.
“A woman of quite tall stature and she is quite thin. Her voice apparently sounds of a smooth river flowing. She wields a long spear.” Cao Pi responded.
“Then I shall do my best to find her.” Yin said.
Cao Pi smiled, “Good.”
Yin butt heads with Cao Pi on the battlefield. Yin raised her sword and slashed at Cao Pi. He swiftly sidestepped and lunged at her. She quickly parried and hit Cao Pi in the stomach with the butt of her sword.
“The adults are fighting, go home already, child!” Yin exclaimed.
Cao Pi looked at the battle unfolding around them, he then shifted his gaze back towards Yin. She stood over him, her sword tip pointing directly at him. She was ready for the killing blow.
Cao Pi scoffed, “You are banished from Cao Wei! As Vice Imperial Chancellor, Vice Chancellor to Lord Cao, I banish you from Cao Wei! Forever!”
Cao Pi realized his defeat and rolled to the side and rushed back towards the fortress.
Yin smirked as the Cao Wei forces charged towards her in Cao Pi’s stead. She quickly parried and dodged their attacks while carving a very clear path in their ranks.
Many of the smarter soldiers attempted to get caught in another fight closeby in order to evade Yin.
Within mere moments, the Cao Wei forces were depleted and had to retreat. The Shu Han forces did not pursue them, instead they welcomed their new hero, Yin.
Within moments, Yin was surrounded by Shu Han soldiers. Half welcoming her, half wanting her capture. However, a Shu Han officer stepped forward to mediate the situation.
“Hello, my name is Wei Ji, hey, you’re kinda cute actually… You wanna have some fun at my place?”
“Huh? What are you saying?” Yin said, blushing, “I just uhm… Want to join Shu Han…”
“Oh yes yes, I assumed so. I was watching you fight, I must say you are quite good, maybe even on par with me!” Wei Ji exclaimed.
“Thank you… I guess…” Yin responded.
Wei Ji stretched out her hand, “Take my hand, we’ll do great things together!”
“You seem very friendly… It’s a little frightening…” Yin mumbled.
Yin took Wei Ji’s hand. Wei immediately pulled Yin into a hug. Yin felt her face begin to burn. Yin’s mouth was left agape long after Wei released Yin from the hug.
“Aw, the look on your face is so cute!” Wei Ji exclaimed.
Wei Ji let out a small laugh as she patted Yin on the shoulder.
“You’re very handsy… I’m not sure if that is a good or a bad thing… So I’m going to go with the latter of the two.” Yin said.
“Ah, I see, you’re stuck in traditions! Hey, I don’t see people doing this all the time, so I do it. Simple.” Wei explained.
An awkward silence filled the air between the two officers. The silence was only broken by the occasional cough of nearby Shu Han soldiers while Wei Ji stared Yin directly in the eyes.
With sudden urgency, Wei Ji whistled and her horse trotted to her side. The white mane of the horse seemed to shine in the rain. Wei Ji jumped onto the horse.
“Hey stranger, you want to ride with me?” Wei Ji asked, holding her hand out to Yin.
