"Who-at the fuck?!" the redhead shouted, arms flailing wildly as he tipped backwards. He crashed to the grass behind him in a spectacular heap, the stool he was sitting on slipping out from under him to fall on his foot as he hit the ground. Kaz doubled over laughing, nearly falling over himself as he struggled to stay upright.
"Oh my god, Michael, you should have seen your face!" Kaz giggled, sitting up and setting the drumsticks on the snare as he grinned.
"You," Michael started, pointing a finger accusingly at Kaz, "Are the worst," he huffed, getting to his feet as he righted the stool. He plopped back onto it with a scowl, snatching the drumsticks off of the snare to set them safely in his lap. Kaz just flashed a grin, violet eyes twinkling happily.
"C'mon Mikey, you know you love me," Kaz said teasingly, but was cut off by a less than gentle smack to the back of the head.
"Get your damn guitar out so we can run through the songs at least once before the festival starts. We gotta play an entire hour's worth of shit, so get your crap together," Alex huffed, and Kaz rolled his eyes as he rubbed at the back of his head. He leaned down to grab his guitar case, opening it and pulling out his pitch black electric guitar accented only with a single pinstriped lightning bolt down the side of it. He smiled faintly at the instrument, taking a moment to run his fingers along the red detailing on its smooth, dark surface. "Dude, quit stroking your guitar and plug it in. We've got like, an hour left to practice before the festival starts and I have no idea when we come on stage," Alex called, and Kaz flipped him off again before beginning to set up.
It only took him a few minutes to set his guitar up, taking a moment to adjust the volume on his guitar before slinging the strap around his body. "So what's the song order?" he asked, looking over at Alex as the other boy adjusted his bright red and yellow electric guitar meticulously.
"Michael wants us to start with Teenagers, but I'm probably gonna save that for around the end," Alex began, Michael sticking his tongue out at him a few feet away. "But we're gonna start with Seven Nation Army, and then we'll probably slow it down a little with Twin Sized Mattress. Then we'll go-" He was cut off abruptly by a tall, dark-skinned boy waving a neon pink paper above his head as he bounded towards them.
"Alex, I got the lineup!" he called, slowing to a stop as he showed Alex the paper. "You aren't gonna believe this shit, amigo," he continued, running a hand through his mess of fluffy dark hair. Kaz and Michael wandered over to them, eyes wide with anticipation as they skimmed the paper. All at once, the group erupted into a mix of equally panicked reactions.
