"Cyrus... are you awake?"
"Mmhmm..."
"You know, Cyrus, I... with this whole mess, and all of these crazy things going forth and back...and... even with your father... I just want you to let me know if you're feeling definitely alright doing this kind of job, for startes, let's say... replacing your father as the next king".
It was midnight when Ezio appeared in the darkness of my room. I dare to guess he couldn't sleep from the tiredness of the grey days that had passed... and the black days to come.
"You know I'm fine".
"Yes, I think I know you're fine, but, do you feel fine?".
I wasn't looking at him. I was covered from head to toe and lied down towards the opposite direction of his face. But I could guess that we were both making the same wrinkles.
"I'm wholesomely fine".
"..." "It's ok if you're not... just say so. Well, just get as much rest as you can. Tomorrow is going to be an exhaustive day, good night... my King".
"Indeed, good night Ezio".
As the night passed I could only think of one thing... and it was Dezierya. The next day I was programmed to announced in front of the whole realm that I was going to be their next governant, and I didn't think they would take the news with full enjoyment.
My anxiety was heavenly cultivating my depression as I was afraid I didn't fit the role perfectly.
And when I finally was beginning to find peace on the heat of my bed, the sun started to bother my face.
Six servants suddenly came into my room and behind them was Ezio, prepared to give orders and make everyone move faster if necessary.
"Good morning my king, today is a beautiful day, are you prepared to face Dezierya?".
"Ezio... stop calling me king, I'm still not the king of anything, besides, you're making me feel as if I dethroned my own father".
"However, you must get use to me calling you king, my king, therefore, I will keep calling you 'king' from now on".
"How would you feel if I called you 'first minister of Dezierya' all the time?".
"Well, I would feel honored of course, and I would even blush for you".
"For Hera's love... but I'm astonished of how terrifically positive you are today".
"My king, what are you saying? It's my job after all".
"Right".
The servants had already finished helping me puting on my clothes by the time Ezio was gone. He and Hatria were openig the main gates, and the entrance to the podium. The remaining servants were preparing every corner of the castle to make it look stunning.
The massive bells started to ring and I could hear them from my room.
I closed my eyes and covered my ears for a brief moment.
—DING, DING, DING, DING—
"Soooo this is it, there's no turning back, I swear... mommy, daddy... sister... pray to Hera for my safety".
—DING, DING, DING—
"Do you think he is prepared to succed his father?"
"We have to wait to see that".
"Then, what do you think is going to happen? Do you think the whole kingdom is going to sit down and accept Cyrus as their next king? You know that they prefer a painful death to let a 13 year-old boy give them orders".
"He is about to turn 14".
"Oh yes! Sorry my mistake! I forgot he was turning 14 this winter!! EVERYTHING IS FINE NOW!".
"Behave Hatria, we are about to welcome our 3700 guests".
"For Hera's sake... have you even told him about that?".
"Wh... —he paused, then he remembered— No... I haven't".
Hatria got alarmed, then she looked at him from the corners of her eyes.
"Ezio... when exactly are you planning to explain it to him?".
"When I get the perfect timing, don't worry".
"Yesterday, or the day before yesterday, or even the day before that could have been perfect timings!".
"We still have time. First thing, I need him to be calm and firmly ascend to the throne Hatria, we can't do things the harsh way. Do you seriously want to freak Cyrus and make him regret ascending like his supposed to?".
"Even so... you protect him too much, he is not your own son, he is THE NEXT KING".
"And I perfectly know that".
"I'm sure you do".
The blond woman quickly disappeared leaving the tall man behind. Worried, helpless.
At the beginning there were only 100 people, then 200, then 1000, then 2000, until they finally reached 3000 people aproximately, the Agora was mostly full and the royal team was ready to let Cyrus talk. But you could not say that Cyrus himself was ready to talk.
"Ok my king, the time has certainly come, you have to go there and declared to Hera and all Dezierya, that their one and only king, is you".
"And, that is what I'm absolutely going to do".
"Appeal to them. Make them remember what the Liwoon kingdom made to your father, tell them that you are going to avenge them in any way you can".
"What? No, I'm not supposed to tell them to seek blood. I'm not going to do that Hatria".
"Do what you want then, I am so used to no one listening to me".
"Ok, ok calm down my little king... look at me, look at me m-Cyrus. Just take a deep breath —and so he did—, yes, that's better, now, go there, conquer their hearts, and amuse them with you're words... remember when I told you they were going to love you tomorrow? Well, today is that tomorrow".
"Ezio".
"Yes, Cyrus?".
"I'm not fine".
"You will be, I promised".
The people were screaming, there were only bustle and hustle at the place, it was a special place build specially for the great speakers of the royal family. Ages ago it would have been the place where the first great king talked, then, the place were their second great king talked...
Would it be the place for the third great king?
"DEZIERYA... LISTEN TO ME".
... And so they did?
