Hawke decided we should eat out to celebrate my moving to the top form. Wilson told Hawke that we couldn't go with him because we were juniors. Hawke gave a sly grin and said that he would get the food, and we stay here. We agreed to stay there, as we watched Hawke now drive off in his car that had gotten fixed. I thought it would be a while before it was finished.
Wilson and I waited a while for Hawke to come back. We were standing against the wall closest to the main entrance. Every once in a while, a couple of girls would pass by and whisper and giggle. Wilson shifted over and told me that they were probably talking about us. I laughed since I didn't think any girls would pay attention to me. I hardly get any girls, even if I do look a little good. Hawke told me once that he was surprised that girls weren't lining up at my door. I took that as a joke, but I don't think he was kidding.
West came by with his head held high. He looked over at me and Wilson. He suddenly stops walking and comes in front of us. "So, where's ol' Hawke?" West gave us a sly grin like he was going to do something. We didn't say anything and pretended we didn't see him. He got a little ticked and raised his voice. "Where's Hawke, guys?" He stared at us, waiting for a response. Of course, we still said nothing. West banged his hands against the wall. "Hey, Idiots! Where's Hawke?!" He growled, his eyes now stormy. Wilson seemed nervous, and so was I. Wilson parted his lips and breathed in a little bit. West came over and leaned against the wall, his arms bordering Wilson now. Wilson was his main target, and he always has been. "You sure you don't know where he is, Wilson?" He stared at him dead in the eyes, West's snow white hair falling to cover the sides of his face.
"Y-yeah..." Wilson finally spoke and pushed one of West's arm's aside, setting him free. "I'm sure, West."
"You got some nerve coming here, Chandler." West turned around and Hawke was there, with food, and gave the food to me. "You know you shouldn't be messing around with these two when I'm around."
"But you weren't around for the most part, were you, Hawke?" West gave him a glare that went along with a sly grin.
"At least I was here now." Hawke glared back at him and pulled Wilson and I close. "Now why don't you find something better to do with your lunch hour, eh, Chandler?"
With that, West walked backward for a short period, then turning around and walking away. Hawke could make anyone do anything if he had the right tone. He kinda reminded me of a wizard. His words were his spells, and his tone was the casting of those spells. He's just a good guy to look up to.
