Yue Jin sat, polishing his hook blades with a small cloth. He felt it ineffective, but convenient. Yue’s strange antics never typically went unnoticed. This time, it was Li Dian who had noticed.
Li Dian stood behind Yue. Li placed his hands on Yue’s shoulders and shook him slightly. Yue jumped and pointed his blades at Li.
Yue had an embarrassingly short stature and Li was so much taller that he could see the top of Yue’s head.
Li smiled, “It makes me smile every time I see the top of your head.”
Yue elbowed Li in the abdomen, forcing Li to fall to his knees. Yue scoffed at Li and turned his head away.
“I hate you,” Yue said, “You’re always messing with me!”
Li chuckled slightly, “That was a nice hit, not gonna lie…” Li slowly rose to his feet, hands clutching his abdomen, “I mean… We’re friends, so a friendly joke from time to time is fine, right?”
Yue glared at Li, “I guess…”
“Great!” Li exclaimed, “When I’ve got friends like you, who else do I need? I mean, I knew you’d be alright with all this if I just brought it up!”
Yue made a sort of groaning noise, but said nothing more.
Li moved closer to Yue and wrapped his arm around Yue’s shoulders. Yue looked over to Li, Yue’s face reddening.
Yue quickly plucked a kiss on Li’s cheek. However, it was less of a kiss and more of a slight headbutt to Li.
Li laughed, “Was that your attempt at a kiss?” Li sighed, “You really are hopeless, aren’t you? I will show you how to properly kiss someone!”
Li reached out to Yue and turned Yue’s face towards him. Yue felt his face burn as Li pressed his lips against Yue’s.
“And that’s how you kiss someone!” Li exclaimed.
