Aydyn and Cameron had sat with this new witness for almost two hours, the information had been detailed. This was surely going to help boost them in the case, to some limit. At the end of it the lady had said multiple times to keep her name out of it, she didn’t want to be associated with the case in any kind of way. Neither of the men could promise her that they could do that, but they did tell her that they would try to keep her clean to the best of their ability.
“We might need you to come in later-” Cameron had started to say while looking up at the female across from them, she had still not given them her name. “So that means we need a name from you.” He smiled slightly as he picked up his pen and clicked it off.
Aydyn had still been trying to process all the information given to them, could it be trusted. Of course he was happy that they had finally been given some sort off lead about what the suspect had been planning to do, but that was about it. Also this journal that she had mentioned, it didn’t seem normal. The way she described how the words had been written on the paper, as if she could read all the fury the suspect had felt whenever she had taken the liberty to end someone’s life. His eyes then shot over to where the girl slowly began to talk, he could tell she looked nervous.
“I can’t. I don’t want her to be mad at me, I’m sure she already hates me for what I did to her.”
Cameron reached out and placed a hand on her knee, he had already had to deal with many others that had been in the same boat as her. “Hey, she won’t know you had anything to do with this. It will just stay between us three.” He offered her a small smile and then moved back to his original spot, waiting for the girl to give him a name.
“Vivianne,”
Cameron began to write the name down, and Aydyn just sat there. Very still. He knew he had remembered the girl, Vivianne, from somewhere.
Vivianne stood up and smiled, “Thank you.” She said to both men and then began to walk towards the door. She paused and then pulled out a small piece of paper, one that had her number written on it. “You might need this too. Just please tell me when you find her.” She said while turning around and giving the paper to Aydyn.
Aydyn took it and nodded. “We will. Stay Safe, Vivianne.” He said quietly, walking towards the door, opening it for the female so she could leave.
Vivianne soon walked out, Aydyn closing the door as soon as she did leave. H walked back to sit in front of Aydyn, a small smile growing on his own face.
“I told you.” Was what Cameron started off by saying to the male, barely able to contain his own excitement that the case would be able to move forwards because of the new findings. Cameron still had no clue how much this case meant to Aydyn.
Aydyn shrugged and then leaned back, a small laugh escaping through his lips. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever.” He said while rolling his eyes, his hands reaching towards his own few papers that had been filled with notes. “We have a lot of new things to work with.” He began to walk his chair towards his desk, moving it to the side to fit one more,
Cameron nodded and then picked up his chair, then placing it next to Aydyn, once he sat down he nodded and then leaned forwards, trying to get a better view of his own papers. “We do, but it’s all useless if she left.” He started off and looked over, “Supposedly she left to go to Hawaii, and if she did go that would mean she almost there by now.” He closed his eyes and then let out a breath, one of his hands reaching up to rub his temples.
Aydyn shook his head and sat up, looking over at the male. “It’s not useless. If we look into it more, we will find her soon. Trust me.” Although he said those words, he didn’t believe them. He knew that if she actually did get away that it would take a while for them both to get to her. “Cameron.” He said quietly and let out a breath, his own hands beginning to shake from anger and sadness.
Cameron looked up at him and frowned slightly. “What’s wrong?” HE asked quietly while letting his own hands go to his knees.
“The person we’re looking for. She’s my sister.”
The time seemed to stop, the silence between them both seemed to be very loud. Cameron didn’t know what to say, it’s hard to say anything if you had never been in that situation before. “I’m so sorry.” That was all that he could manage to say. He felt terrible for not being able to say more, but he just didn’t know how to help fix this problem.
Aydyn took in a breath and shook his head, his eyes opening up to look at Cameron. “I don’t want her to be in trouble, but she has to. What she did was wrong.”
“Maybe there is a reason behind what she did?”
“She always thought that my dad had something to do with the death of my mother. She held that against him for so long, the thing is. I know that she did it, I just don’t want to believe it.”
Cameron nodded and reached out to take the other’s hand, a friendly gesture. ”We have to take this one step at a time. First we need to look through our evidence and try to get a search warrant on her ouse. Then we go to find her.” He smiled, and then gently squeezed the other’s hand. “This is the time that you need to trust me the most, especially with me being you assistant.”
Aydyn nodded and smiled slightly a tear slipping from his eye which he quickly wiped away. “Then what are we waiting for.” He laughed quietly and then shook his head, moving his hands from the others grasp and turning towards the papers that had sat in front of them. “Let’s go them.”
