Calling themselves Oralyn as the whole, this race is made up of three different races: Elven (Lvyn), Fairy (Feryli) and Nymph (Nympa). These races are often seen as one single race as they all speak the same language, have many similar physical characteristics with the ways they use magic being the only difference between them. They are often characterized by the fact that their magic is tied completely in nature, allowing them to manipulate the elements they are affluent with but not to create the elements from nothing.
Elves are the most flexible when learning magic and are often able to use three or more of the most basic elements, though they start with one elemental focus. Other focuses awake as they age. Elves seem more human in appearance, with only the signature pointed ears and strange colored eyes as indicators of their fae ancestry.
Fairies and nymphs tend to only specialize in one specific basic element, though there are some who can control more than one. Fairies have wings that they can retract into their bodies and can change their size between human size and a three inch or so sized form.
Nymphs literally can become the element they associate with, and often have physicalities that allow them to seem more like their element in solid form.
All are said to be immortal unless killed by extreme trauma, but in truth, they lose their immortality once they claim their Mate through the sharing of a chalice of wine with a drop of each other’s blood. After sharing in the wine ceremony, Fae begin to age along with their mate and tend to die from old age, even if they are a Hybrid. They do not have a designation for a group as all of them, even half-bloods are considered a member of the Fae kingdom, and live wherever they choose to, often preferring to live among the other supernatural races. They are ruled by the tri-kings (Elf, Fairy and Nymph each having their own royal family) and the Fae Elder Council made up of royals who have reached the age of 1000 years. The Kingship of each subrace is passed on to the next generation either when the king dies or when the reigning king reaches 1000 years and can join the Council.
