I had to sit there next to him for the entire night. It was a complete nightmare for me. I despised this man with a passion, and I meant it. He had many nerves to be sitting next to me. I just didn't trust him.
Hawke and uncle Nathaniel made conversation. I just sat on the floor next to Wilson awkwardly. He scooched closer to me and stiffened up a bit. I watched them talk like normal people. How could they possibly be doing that?
"It's like they've known each other for years." Wilson wasn't really wrong in his logic. Hawke only ever comes over when uncle Nathaniel is there.
"More like drinking buddies, I reckon." I sigh and watch them talk.
It must have been really late when uncle Nathaniel finally left again. Hawke said that he was going to go hunt some action. I was just glad that he was gone. Wilson watched through the window as he left. We could finally rest for the night.
But I couldn't stop thinking about uncle Nathaniel.
