Hermione and Harry sat in the library awkwardly. Finally she sighed and closed her book. "Alright, so what's wrong?" She asked. Harry jumped at her suddenness. "W-what do you mean?" She gave him that look that make you feel like she can see into your soul. "You know perfectly well what I mean Harry." He held out for another minute, but decided it was best to forfeit a losing battle. He sighed. "So, there's this guy who's approached me recently and I can't tell you who. But, he's a made Vampire and told me I'm his mate. Now, I don't know what to do because I think I might like him but..." Harry trailed off.

Hermione nodded. "I see. Well, the bad news is I don't know much about Vampires other than the basics. The good news is we're in a library. Why don't you do some research and I'll help." Harry nodded and got up.

The two friends didn't come back until they both had armfulls of information. Hermione and Harry went through every book and shared their findings. Eventually Hermione looked up to see Harry reading diligently. "You know. I've never seen you study so diligently before. You must really like him huh?" Harry looked up and blushed. "I-I suppose." Hermione sighed and rolled her eyes at her friend as she turned the page. "Oh Harry. Here, this looks pretty important." She said, putting the large book over top of his. He looked at her questioningly. "Why don't you just... oh." Harry said as he turned red. He gulped and began reading.

VAMPIRE MATES:

Made vs Born

A naturally born Vampire can find any creature to be their mate. This creature or wizard may find themselves to be the submissive. The only

cases of a sub-Vampire are when the other mate is a high ranking Vampire themselves.

A made Vampire will find that their mate is always a wizard, though cases of neko mates have been reported these are very rare as neko's are typically more apt to having a Veela Dominate.

No one knows who their mate is when they're born, but there are way to find them. A born Vampire will know when they see them after they gained their inheritance at 17. A made Vampire won't know their mate until they catch a the sent of their mate's blood. This can be through close contact with the skin or straight on contact with the blood. If a wizard is turned at a young age, they will not gain the ability to find their mate until 16 years of age.

As stated in (Vampire Warnings) A Vampire's eyes will gain a tint of red when angered. However, this will turn into a deep crimson if their mate is harmed in anyway in their presence. A vampire does not have to be of age or know who their mate is for this to occur.

While a naturally born vampire has their fangs from point of inheritance, a made Vampire's fangs will only show when the find themselves sexually aroused or at the moment they find their mate.

A Vampire's mate will undergo some changes. The gender of either Vampire or Mate does not matter. However, a male mate will find that after a mating ritual is performed they will have stomach pains. This is normal as your body is changing in preparation for baring your Vampire's children.

While a female's birth remains normal, a male mate will give birth through their bottom hole. If everything is without complication, so will their birth regardless of gender.

In result to these changes both male and female mates will find that they will go through a monthly heat. For females, this will replace the menstrual cycle. A heat will last from 3-5 days. As with all creatures these days are when a mate is most likely to be impregnated.

The mating ritual is the same for both sorts of Vampires. At the climax of intercourse the vampire will ejaculate into their mate while drinking their blood. Not all of the blood though, about a pint or two. Then they will kiss their mate sharing a little of the blood. Just whatever is left in their mouth. This step is most important as the few drops of tainted blood are what allow the Vampire and their mate to complete their bond and the mates body to start it's transformation. Though, neither should worry too much about skipping a step as these are also part of Vampire instinct and will come naturally.

A bright red Harry groaned as he slammed his head on the table. "I don't know if I can go through with all this Hermione." He said. Hermione sighed and rolled her eyes. "Harry look at me. Do you love him?" "What?" "Do you love him?" She repeated. Harry was caught. "I- I don't really know. I mean, this is all still so new." He looked down with his flushed cheeks, but Hermione continued to stare at him. "Do you think you can love him?" "Well..."

Harry thought of Snape. The way he was in class. How he looked when ever he eat Harry's cooking. Even, the night he'd healed Harry. Harry blushed furiously at the memory and shivered. After a moment more of thought he looked Hermione in the eyes. "Yes?" He said.

Hermione stared more, but broke her gaze and leaned back. "Then you've got to pay the price." Harry looked at her questioning. "What do you mean? What price?" She smirked and lifted an eyebrow. "Your ass."

Harry broke out into giggles and soon she followed. They two laughed loudly and got kicked out for the night. Harry bid Hermione goodbye and headed back to Severus, still thoroughly embarrassed.
