[Day 1, 7:58 P.M]
David's POV || Taken
The meeting ended an hours ago and I guess it was already night. Man, I didn't knew Smith's work could be this hard and stressful despite that this is just the beginning of my day, being the temporary husband of Smith Wilson.
My throat is getting dry for not talking too much since all I do is follow where Smith go. But except when he is going to the bathroom. That would be gross.
But anyways, I went to ask one of the security guards where I can find a water dispenser and one of them guided me happily. As we go, I keep noticing that everyone sure to turn their heads at me. It also happened earlier after the meeting presentation when Smith called me, everyone on the room kept their gaze to bore under my skin-- which was terrifying and unconventional to me.
"Thanks!" I told the security guard and was replied by a tough smile.
'Hehehe... He looks scary...'
"Oh, hey," Came a feminine voice behind me. I turned around and got familiarized when she was the same lady at the meeting room earlier, together with the other one. "You're the new assistant of Mr. Wilson, right?" They giggled. "What a cutie..."
I blushed, knowing that I wasn't really interested in girls. They leaned at me, the cup sized is on my arm. As much as I want to push and shove them away, I can't because I don't wanna be rude.
Until,
"That's Mr. Wilson for you." I was yanked away by a strong grip and being turned around to be bump with a firm chest. I sniffed the scent and got an idea who is it. No one but my husband.
'Geez, why I keep saying husband so naturally? I sound like we're real, married couple.'
"Sorry my ladies," He spoke and I lift my head, only to be met with his willed eyes that was fixated on the two ladies. "But this guy you're telling cute is taken."
I widened my eyes, not expecting him to say that. I turned my head slightly since he wasn't letting me go and the girls squealed in either disappointment or excitement.
"Ooohh, that's bad." The lady in pink pouted but the one with violet dress spoke, "Who's the lucky girl?"
That left me stunned because they misunderstood. Well, I like to keep our marriage hidden away from publicity because this is a debt agreement substitution, nothing to be boast about.
"Haha..." Smith laughed shortly and looking like he was going to say something further--which made me to froze in place. "You mistook it my ladies. There is no lucky girl here because I, the son of this company owner just married this lil' guy. Any problem?"
I knew it! I knew what he would say and the reaction of the two ladies. I didn't noticed that I was still on Smith's tough chest so I shoved him away, not causing him even a single stumble. The two ladies began to chatter and seems to be shaking. I glared at Smith who's been smirking all the way, probably enjoying the two amusing reaction of girls.
"That's....that is.... Where's the proof you two being married?" They said in chorus.
This only made Smith to widen his smirk as it already is. He raised his right hand where supposed the ring is placed next to his pinky finger as well as mine. When it was now on the face of the two, they nearly fainted.
"I-I it's.... it's true!" The pink breathed out, "They really got two matching wedding rings. When did this happen?"
Smith didn't answered, instead, he started to carry me up in a bridal style. It's already much for me to handle and I think I am going to die soon from having too much embarrassment for a day.
"Gotta answer that question later. Bye." Smith answered goofily and started to dash to the exit door.
I am a guy, with a very delicate and weak heart. Not literally mean that I have a heart disease or something but in other way of it. So, I just shut my eyes reasoning to ignore whatever the staffs and others assistants' attention giving to us. On the other hand, this scene doesn't affect Smith at all.
Once I felt the cold night air, I guessed we reached outside the company. The illuminating lights, slight car noises and dark atmosphere made me to exhale properly then Smith put me down.
Once I gathered confidence to scold him, I did it.
"What do you think you're doing?!" I sighed angrily. "Are you making them to believe that we really got married? Huh?"
Smith doesn't bulge which made me to snap more. "Answer me!! Do you really want them to believe your own damn reason?"
I don't know where my rage is actually coming from. But from the looks of it, I got mad because he was marking that we got married by showing our fake wedding rings, and to the point of him saying he wasn't gay earlier. That's just random!
"You were struggling to get off to the ladies. If I were not there to save you, then you're already raped." He answered softly.
"You could have just pulled me out and state a nice reason!" I yelled back.
"I know those ladies, David." He warned, loosing his cool. "Once they meet a cute or handsome guy, they'll start hitting on them until something bad happen."
"Shut up--"
"You shut up!" He harshly cut off, his voice was also raging. "Listen here David, I don't want you shouting at me. I'm your husband."
I looked away. "This is just an agreement for my parents' debt to be your temporary husband." Hurt, I can't still forget what he said to me when we was still on bed. "So nothing is real."
I sighed deeply, walking away straight to his car and not daring to look back again at him. I opened his car radio up to avoid awkward tension will happen. It took him seven minutes to get inside his car. Without saying a word, he started the engine for a bit before drifting to the road. My eyes were only focused to the window, looking at the car pass by.
Until I drifted to sleep.
