All of the lovely flowers and very tooth-aching chocolates that were delivered in front of our cottage's door literally went to the trash.
Wait.
There's a conscience part of me saying that I shouldn't waste all those beautiful nature and supposed to be taken care of. But what if inside the flowers have a tracking detector? What if I swallow those chocolates, make me to faint and Smith's bodyguards will kidnap me? What if......
I vigorously shook my head at my silliness. Of course Smith was just comforting me. Did he really? Comforting me in a way of giving me those.
Anyways, what was his real intention giving me those flowers and chocolates though? Is he wanting me to go back at the Wilson's league or what? Or maybe Smith was giving me those to change my mind. I couldn't tell actually. But from the looks of it, he was impressing me or something.
I sighed as I pinched the bridge of my nose, walking straight to the trash can where I dumped the stuffs that was delivered to me. When I retrieved them once again, I knew they wouldn't be dirtied since my trash can is clean, so, the chocolates are still edible and clean to eat.
I picked them because I have an idea of giving them to my neighbor, Mr. Finley Lukerson. Mr. Finley, much to my surprise, was actually married to an Asian. Not that to mention, but also was gay. Saint Ittchinsenthii, who is now Mr. Saint Lukerson once married to him. I can guess that Finley chose his surname because the guy who is born from Thailand's name alone is very hard and tongue-twister to pronounce. They really fit each other.
Finley is an American who stands 6'1 with a messy black hair and stunning green eyes that I thought once to be scary and with a muscular build figure. He actually came from a wealthy family who writes novel all across the world, and even became a best-selling author!
He didn't gave up on his passion until he came to the point of brushing aside his novel that only focuses on daily life perspectives to a romance. He only did that because he want to feel a real love, a love that he always wanted for a long time but couldn't because he was busy with his own writings. Also, Finley did that because he realized that he was gay and tried to write his own love adventure and prove the world there's nothing wrong with different love.
And I remembered a line he wrote back there, Finley wrote;
"A man's truly love for another man is unavoidable. When you want to know if he loves you, study their actions...especially their eyes. Once you saw a glint, it's up for you to do the rest, whether love him or reject him."
Of course when he published that, the popularity of his novel, as usual, became successful and that's the time he met the Thailand guy.
And his name is Saint Ittchinsenthii, formerly known as Saint Lukerson. He had a height of 5'8, a skin that is so glowing, frames covering the forehead and an unexplainable cute language which make him more cuter. I still wonder how they speak to each other if Finley speaks English and Saint speak Thai.
Both of them has been already ten years and I believe that there are still more years for them to stay together, and be happy together.
I'm so jealous.
I mean, is there still a man who could love me, accept me cuddle me every night until morning, kiss me with much passion and a nicer one? Pft, unlike Smith, who is an asshole. And damn, what with his saying that he wasn't gay but already fucked twenty-nine guys?
Playboy? Huh, as if.
"Yo, Dav! Are you busy with your own world?" Someone shouted, not far away. When I looked to my right, I saw Finley waving at me with an excited grin. I can see that because the both of us including his husband neither saw each other from a long time since they traveled around the world. Well you already know Finley, he is a successful man.
"O-oh hey!" I shouted back, blushing at the fact that Finley noticed my weird expression from my thought for Smith.
Ugh. Why am I suddenly thinking about Smith?
"I thought you were with your husband?" He spoke as I got nearer at him and continued, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you suppose to be living with the love of your life? You wanted something like that right?"
"Oh geez, Fin. Stop sounding like we are real married--"
"What? You two are not?!"
"Yes. Didn't you heard, that I was suppose to be his husband for a month as a substitute for my parents' debt?" I explained slowly as he nodded.
"But why are here? When did you started being his husband?"
"Just this first day of December." I said.
"Oh, okay... did you came here for a visit?"
I sighed and looked at the ground. "No. Not really. The reason why I am here is because I ran away from him."
Finley gasped, "Why?"
"You wouldn't understand." I smiled and lifted again my face to look at him. When I remembered why I was here in the first place, I went back to my cottage and pulled the sack of flowers and chocolates. "By the way, you want these?"
Finley jumped on the fence, "Whoa, why so many? Who's the lucky guy?"
I punched his shoulders slightly. Me and Finley are like close friends so it's normal for me to hit him. But Saint, we still need to hang out more, we still get awkward with each other especially that he says something Thai-ish with his husband as I visit them on their house. "No lucky guy or man. I'm still on the find." I smiled.
"That's sad." He patted me on my back. "And hey, why are you giving me that?"
"It's just....uhm... won't fit in our cottage anymore. So throwing it away would be a waste and a thought of giving this to you and Saint would be a good idea." I lied but the last word were true. I decided that it will be a waste if I just threw it away so why not giving them to somebody?
"That's actually...actually nice of you." I handed him the sack which he gratefully accepted. "Thanks. I'll let my husband know."
"Where is Saint by the way?"
When Finley transport the sack of stuffs over his fence, he looked back at me. "He's sleeping but I guess he will be waking up anytime soon. He was really tired when we arrived here yesterday night and I have to make it up for him by cooking his favorite food."
"That's...... you two make me jealous." I heaved a defeated sigh and crossed my arms. It's already been a year when I am finding love. I used to have crushes on my school but dating a straight wouldn't be a good idea.
"Well, maybe today isn't the right time, or maybe tomorrow wouldn't too, or the day after tomorrow wouldn't also. But sure for sure, you'll find your right man. Or maybe, it's already infront of you but you aren't noticing it yet." Finley said, before dashing back inside his house and yelling goodbye.
My mind processed for awhile while his words echoed inside. 'Maybe it's already infront of you but you aren't noticing it yet.' What does that mean?
Before I could think through, my phone beeped. I looked up and saw Gil texted me.
Man! I got hired finally! --Francisco
That's great! You always wanted to work, right? Where did you signed? --David
The company of Wilson gave me an opportunity to be accepted and work under their company. --Francisco
When I read "Wilson", my hand froze at the keypad of my phone and unable to reply another message at him. It passed seven minutes when Gil texted me again.
You there? I was hoping that if you could go with me since you know Smith. Please? --Francisco
I'm sorry, but I can't. --David
Why? I thought we are already friends? And I thought friends always have each other backs? Please, I am nervous about the meeting of interview. --Francisco
I was about to send him another refuse or another excuse for not going when I realized that we are now friends. And he has a point, friends are friends. Even when we just agreed to terms yesterday, I can't help but to feel bad about it. Well, I can go with him but I'll stay outside the company.
Yeah. I'll go with that plan.
Fine. I will go to you. What time you will come and pick me up? --David
One o'clock. And thank you very much! Cameron and Mike are really luck to have a friend like you. --Francisco
I smiled at the text and frowned the following when my mind debates with my decision if I really want to go or not. I mean, I'm not still ready to face the Wilson family after the embarrassing incident and I'm not ready if they already filed a case for me when I ran away from their debt.
Oh God, what did I do to deserve this?
