In the rich lands of the Green-Bell Valley, the flower spirits were in full bloom. This is one of the 17 mystical lands where minor deities recede- controlling the seasons and the fruits of the earth. In the Valley, lives a highly distinguished immortal who is rumored to be the most beautiful woman in all the 36 Heavens and the 72 Earthly Realms. Some even travel far and wide to see a glimpse of her face- but the Green-Bell Valley isn't an easy place to intrude- protected by the sacred 108 Green Bells left behind by the all mightly Tortoise God before he left to the northern Black Pearl Sea since he pitied the weak flower spirits. The formation created by the bells surrounds the Valley and only allows those without bloodlust and of pure heart to enter- no longer will the flower spirits be afraid of their powerful neighbors.
It was such that for 77,000 years, no outsider has entered the Valley and the minor deities lived in peace and quiet. That is until 20,000 years ago that the 108 Green Bells rang loudly for the first time, signaling the closing of the formation. All the flower spirits gathered near the stone craved entrance, all curious of who broke through the barrier. "Who can it be?" said the orchid spirit, nervously jumping up and down to catch a glimpse of the emerging figure.
Far ahead, the young, mischievous peach spirit is seen to be carrying someone on her back, walking slowly past the stone gate. "Ah! Help me! I found an injured girl outside! I can't hold on anymore!" she called out. She falls face first onto the ground. The grass spirits and flower spirts all surged forward to help lift the girl off of the peach spirit. "Someone hurry and call Ma Huang over. Tell him someone is injured!" the peach spirit shouts out.
"Tao Tao where did you find this dirty girl? What did I tell you about leaving the formation? You never listen to this old woman!" an elder woman appears and smacks the peach spirit on the head.
"Ouch! Grandmother, stop hitting me, I didn't disobey you on purpose!" the peach spirit says with a pout while shielding her head. At that moment, the chief of medicine, Ma Huang, arrives and starts to feel the pulse of the young girl. "Hurry and get her to my grass hut, she is almost near death's door." Ma Huang hurriedly says while wiping the sweat off of his forehead.

"I wonder how the girl got these injuries?" Ma Huang mumbled. He turns around to where the peach spirit stands and asks, "Where did you find her?"
"I went outside the barrier because I heard that the fish spirits in the eastern Dragon Tail River are hosting a banquet. But just before I was going to enter the River village, I found this girl at the bed of the river. She was blue when I found her in the freezing water!" Tao Tao quickly summarized what happened. "Don't tell my grandmother though..." she added under her breath while kicking the floor.
"Good thing you recused her in time. A few minutes later, she would have been frozen to death. Not to mention her internal injuries." Ma Huang said. "Make sure to keep watch on her, call me over when she wakes," he instructs her. Tao Tao nods diligently and follows the old chief out the door.
The sky had started to rain, and all the spirits retreated for cover. Moments later, the sun reappeared, and rain-glistened flowers returned to their normal routine as always.

When is this girl going to wake up? Tao Tao thought as she fans the fire, the strong medicinal scent wafting over to her nose. She sneezes for the tenth time today.
She sighs, "I have personally cooked this medicine for 7 days now. If I keep doing this, my hands will be burned off!" She could only cry to herself about her lack of luck.
Tao Tao was busy talking to herself that she didn't notice that the young girl was stirring from her sleep. The young girl coughed several times, attracting the attention of Tao Tao. She rushed from the kitchen and sat by the bedside, patting the girls back to calm her down. Tears filled the girl's eyes, and her cheeks grew rosy in color due to the coughing. Tao Tao had noticed before, but now looking at her alive self, she thought to herself that the girl was exceptionally beautiful. Her snow white skin and raven hair with that pair of large, sparkling eyes gives her a dignified but delicate air. Not even the flower spirits could compare to her!
"Where I am?" she weakly asks, pulling Tao Tao from her thoughts. She sat up and Tao Tao quickly went to grab the medicine she had been cooking.
"You're in the Green-Bell Valley, I found you in the eastern Dragon Tail River. You were injured. What happened?" she asks while stirring the medicine in the bowl.
"I don't know. I don't remember where that is at," the girl answers with her hand pressed against her temple.
"Here drink this first" she hands the girl the bowl of medicine. "Take it slow. Its normal for your head to be foggy, you have been asleep for a long time. I'm Tao Tao. Do you know your name?"
The girl demurely receives the bowl and slowly drinks, and ponders at what Tao Tao had just asked her. She ponders and ponders, and when she finished the bowl of medicine, she shakes her head and says, "I don't know my name. I can't remember anything."
