I stood cleaning up the hundreds of beer cans off the cream carpet even if it wasn't much cream any more spots of dark beer and blood seeped into the fabric
"Move your arse!" He told me kicking me so I moved out of his way of the radio as he listened to some show about police chases I took the cans I had collected up and threw them away in the bin bag close to the door my mother called me over to her as she stood by her bedroom door her face a little bruised up handing me a few more bits of rubbish from there room
"You don't have to put up with this you know," I tell her quietly
"What are you two talking about!" he yells getting up from the sofa
"nothing" my mother smiles and I snapped
" I was saying how she doesn't have to put up with this shit" I answer turning to see him "not from you or from someone else?" I tell him
"You just don't learn do you boy!" He yells going to grab me but I ducked into my room slamming the door shut locking it I quickly grabbed my backpack filling it with every bit of clothing I had and every item I could fit into it having to leave a couple of my books behind I may have been able to fit them if I moved some stuff around but I didn't have time as soon as I zipped the bag up as he ripped the door off its hinges he stepped into my room going to hit me but I ducked under his arm giving my mothers cheek a kiss and running for the door "you come back here you little freak!" He yells rushing after me
"RUN BENNY!" my moher screams so I got the door open and ran for it down the path past his car and onto the street he was caseing me I ran as fast as my feet could carry me I ran for the train tracks on the other side of the estate as I got close I could see them my father still caseing me as soon as I saw the tracks I noticed a train was coming he was screaming and swearing at me as I got close, I noticed a cargo carrier with no door just an open section ran for that one as luck would have it, it was going to be in my opening by the time I got close enough the train was speeding up though so I would have to jump it I used my last bit of strengh to run fatser and as I got close enough I jumped blindly hopeing I would make it I landed with a hard thump on the wooden floor of the carriage I hurried into the corner the protection from the winds and such the closer I huddled inside and I got my breath back my father gave up when he saw me jump starting to go back home, I felt like hell for leaving me mother there, but I had done it I had escaped my father and now going well wherever this train is, I was free.
