Y/N POV:

I sighed at last things might get a little simpler, high school was hard no denying that but it's even harder when you're your cities last defense from supervillains "And yet again we have beautiful masked hero The Butterfly to thank for our rescue" the radio played interrupting the song and I sighed having to listen to all the junk I already know "The Butterfly again foiled her arch nemesis the scorpion, as he attempted to destroy the Westboro tower" she explained and I sighed

"Hey cheer up kid!" the taxi driver tells me

"sorry just a bit tired" I smile back

"that Butterfly girl is amazing always saving the day and letting scorpion crawl back into whatever hole he comes from, they should give that girl some kinda reward" he explained and I kinda zoned out

yeah free Uni degree would be nice I think to myself as we pulled up at my college my home for the next few years, no stupid bedtime, no nosy parents, no real need to go to class, I can focus so much better on balancing college, life and being the Butterfly as soon as I got out and paid the driver I got my stuff and wondered in as the staff got the rest from the cab I wandered through the gates to the little desk set out for people I signed in and got my key going off to my room with people bussleing around me the whole time as I got to my door I pushed it open and nsatnly remembered Right Co ed room as I saw a tall thin blonde guy stood unpacking his stuff into the wardrobe

"Ohh Hi...I take it your my roommate" he smiled at me

"yeah guess I am" I blush offering my hand to him but he moved away

"sorry...not much of a....uhhh just sorry" he blushed

"Its okay" I smile a little embarrassed "Have you picked a bed yet?" I ask him coming in with my stuff noticing all my other stuff was already in the room

"Ohh no...I was waiting for you to get here" he told me "Oh I'm Thomas by the way" he smiled at me

"Y/n" I smile, "I think I'll take this one" I smile sitting on one of the beds

"sure" He smiled at me both of us very nervous

"I suppose we best get used to each other, we're gonna get to know each other pretty well" I blush

"yeah we will" he smirked a little

I heard a little noise go off and he checked his watch a moment "Ohh sorry, I need to go meet uh...my....friend across campus, you have your key right?" he asked and I nod so he smiled grabbing a bag and running off out the door so I shrug funny guy and start unpacking my stuff as soon as I was done I got a little blip though my earrings

"Talk to me?" I ask

"Butterfly, The scorpion is attacking the Bank on 35th street hurry!" the report says so I sigh switching it off

"Of course he has to attack today, scorpion you have a shit way of timing things" I sigh grabbing my stuff and quickly locking up my room quickly changing as soon as I got somewhere privet and heading out flying across the city to the right place

"Butterfly at last" the office says

"sorry bit of a rush getting out,"I tell him "what's he up to?" I ask

"he's got four goons holding everyone in the bank inside, people and staff, an eyewitness says he came in and took over four people and is robbing the place now" he explained

"You get the people out I'll deal with scorpion" I smirk looping my tool around the top window ledge and quickly getting into the building running down and through the corridors till I found the right place I quickly got one of my flowers dropping it on the floor letting it sprot and free the people scorpion had trapped in his mind game breaking open the vault door and I saw him

"It's over Scorpion come on quietly Else I kick your arse!" I tell him

"Big talk for a pretty little butterfly" he smirked "Why do we do this darling, you know I can walk out of any prison you put me in" he smirked

"Whatever reasons you have scorpion aren't good enough for trapping innocent people," I tell him

"not my fault if a few strays get in our crossfire my darling, I do this for you, for us, circumstances might have changed for us both, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop" he smirked kissing my cheek I looked down and noticed

"For fuck-" I complain as he had stuck my feet to the floor

"Sorry darling, it will wear off as soon as I'm gone, can't have you running off to early" he smirks "It is such a shame to stick such a pretty little butterfly but...it'd best" he smirks walking out with the money "Don't worry, it will wear off, I'm not so mean to come back and smash the pretty butterfly later" he smirks as we wondered out

"he's heading out you have to get him" I yell through the speaker in my earings

"you didn't get up?" they ask

"Nope...floor glue again" I sigh mad at myself for falling for that again and within a couple seconds I could free my feet and I ran out the people were out, but scorpion nowhere in sight

"What the hell butterfly?" an officer asks me

"Sorry, okay, next time I swear I will get him" I sigh

"next time! he just made off with a million pounds and you have no clue where he went?" he yells

"Need I remind you, I do this out of kindness for this place, I have no obligation by law to use my powers for anything, the fact I even show up is my choice, things like this scorpion just being a thief with a few fancy weapons is your job! not mine" I tell him grabbing my stuff and going off again across the city towards my college as soon as I found somewhere quiet I changed back and walked back onto campus and up to my room the door was unlocked thomas must be back now I opened the door and he was sat on his bed and he quickly hid somthing under his pillow

"Hey...where have you been?" he asks

"just wondering" I shrug sitting on my bed

"Have fun with your friend?" I ask him

"hu? ohh right yeah...just chatting" he shrugged

"so... you mind if I head to bed it's been a rough day" I sigh

"Ohh no course, get some rest" he smiled at me so I went to the bathroom changing into my Pj's and when I came out he was tucked in bed mostly asleep so I went to my bed and went to sleep as well a little worried about the next time my earings where going to go off...

I sighed coming back in through the window of my room and changing back sighing as I sat on my bed my cuts and bruises starting to ache non stop scorpion the last three weeks as soon as I began taking care of my cuts the door opened

"Oh my god y/n are you okay?" Thomas asked me quickly shutting the door and comforting me a little "you stay there" he told me rushing off to our bathroom and getting a little first aid kit helping me out with all my little wounds "How did this happen?" he asked me

"Ohh uhh I fell down the stairs,"I tell him

"aww poor you," he told me

"Thomas? I never did ask why do you always wear your gloves?" I ask him

"Ohh...I just don't like touching things other people touch and all" he blushed

"like germ's and stuff?" I ask him

"Uhh yeah" He answered fixing a cut on my face for me

"Thank you Thomas" I smile

"Your welcome Y/n" he blushed moving my hair out my face he looked like he was going to kiss me but he looked worried as he tidies my hair behind my ear "there...interesting earrings?" he told me

"Ohh yeah, family heirloom" I smile moving his hand away from them in case they go off or something

"their beautiful, little butterflies" he smiled at me "Y/n I uhh...I really like you, Honestly I do" he smiled making me blush like crazy I had never had anyone tell me that before well...not while not dressed as the butterfly, relationships had never come on my mind before thinking too much about saving the city "Would you mind If I uh...if I kissed you?" He asked me

"No" I blush we both blushed like crazy slowly leaning in to kiss but his watch went off and he jumped away from me

"I uhh I'm sorry y/n I have to go" He told me "When I get back I promise," he told me kissing my hand and he grabbed a bag of stuff and rushed out the door

"Okay" I sigh I sat for a couple minutes a little sad why did he run off what must be so important he has to run off and just like they always do when I least need them too my earrings went off "Okay I'm coming"I sigh turning them off getting back to butterfly and going off wherever the next stupid thing is going to be...
